Fred knowing that despite what people think Lewis is actually very sensitive to his surroundings and thrive when he’s loved and supported. That’s why Fred Vasseur will always have a fan in me. He’s did nothing but fight for Lewis and uplift him even when shit was hitting the fan last year

The biggest takeaway here is the fact that @ScuderiaFerrari is stepping outside of their comfort zone and were decisive vs scripted. They acted boldly and took risk on the say so of the most dominant driver to ever race in @F1 There was no β€œwe are looking into it” no β€œwe will get back to you” - they are starting to trust @LewisHamilton a man who has been to the promise land and can help lead them out of the wilderness. @Charles_Leclerc will be the biggest beneficiary from this so his fans should calm down. #F1 #BarcelonaGP

🚨| Piero Ferrari: "I don't think it's a coincidence that Hamilton won his first race with our car precisely in Barcelona, where, 30 years ago, Schumi kicked off his extraordinary series of successes with the Rossa. I see it as a sign of destiny, even a portent for the future that awaits us. I'm not surprised by Hamilton's 'renaissance.' It was obvious that Hamilton didn't like ground-effect cars, and what's more, we hadn't provided him or Leclerc with a competitive car."

'Lewis Hamilton has really pushed Ferrari to not be afraid, to go for the Macarena wing, to change the brakes, to be adventurous with the design, to go be aggressive with the soft tyre.' Tom Clarkson: "He started on the soft tyre and that he was aggressive and wanted to win this race from the start. I feel there is a significance behind him starting on the soft tyre because I think there's been a period here at Ferrari where they might have been a bit afraid to do something different like that at the start. All the cars around him were on the medium tyre. But I feel Lewis has really pushed them to not be afraid, to go for the Macarena wing, to change the brakes, to be adventurous with the design, to go be aggressive with the soft tyre. Do you guys agree that that's significant?" @AlbertFabrega: "It is. It is. I think that Ferrari still have this difference between them and the other teams where the consequences of having a mistake like this could affect the whole Scuderia. I think that in this sense, Fred has done a good job taking weight of the things that are not relevant for the team and whatever is said outside. I think that he's trying to introduce to the team that they have to be a little bit away of what is going on, away of the team or outside the team and what the people said about it and be confident with their work." "I think that having a man like Lewis Hamilton, that has been one of the greatest of the sport within the team, it gives that confidence to them to do this kind of strategies, saying, OK, well, let's go for it. And if it doesn't work, nothing happens. We will be fighting for the podium anyway. But giving them the opportunity to win, I think, is enough to take the risk and they're doing it." @jucerasoli: "I see Fred as an enabler of what Lewis can achieve here." "His first day at Ferrari, he went to his office and there were all the newspapers from the day before, from the morning probably. And he said, from tomorrow onwards, I don't want this. I don't want to know what others are talking about this team. What matters is what's inside this team. And I think it leads to decisions like this. It leads to, let's just do our best here and not be afraid of what the papers will say or what we are going to say in the podcast or something like that. It all comes together." "And having Lewis, a guy who has won so much, telling the guys to just go for it and having a boss saying, OK, let's go for it. If we fail, we fail trying. And of course, they are also in a much better position than Mercedes to try something like that because they are far off from the championship." [via F1 Podcast]

My Guy. June 24th. A song that I feel I have been waiting a lifetime to write and sing. Written with beautiful friends on a summer’s day in New York, this one fell out of the sky. In this sometimes cold and distant world, I hope you can feel the love and the closeness of this recording. I tried to capture the glow and the warmth of love in this one, it makes me cry, maybe it will make you feel a little love too. Pre-save now samsmith.lnk.to/myguy

Beautiful video from Sky Sports presenter Rachel Brookes. She has spent years and years interviewing Lewis Hamilton, who she describes as "emotional, open, and honest", and now shares her feelings on his first Ferrari win, after having witnessed his "lowest of lows" in 2025. [@RachelBrookesTV]

Q: You've won with three different teams, but still I can say because I'm older than you, you're much older now. Is this like being reborn? "Yes, for sure. That's what I said to the guys, I said, not bad for a 41-year-old, eh?" 😭 "No. I've trained very, very, very, very hard this year. I mean last year was just, it was difficult from the beginning because I got injured here actually. Big crash that I had here last year and I was carrying that injury through the whole year which was really, really difficult. And then just, God, just the whole year, I just never want to think about it. But I never gave up, refocused, recentred, had a great winter, came back in pushing with these guys and rejigged my team." "Wow. This has come sooner than I had expected, but yeah, I take it. I'm so, so happy and so happy for the team as well." F1 2026 || Barcelona
