Representatives of South Africaโ€™s Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF), alongside the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), recently visited the Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals and Dangote Fertiliser Limited as interest continues to grow around Africa-led industrialisation and long-term infrastructure investment. The visit reflects a broader shift taking place across the continent; one where African institutions are increasingly looking inward to support large-scale projects capable of strengthening energy security, industrial capacity, food systems, and regional economic resilience. As the refinery moves towards its forthcoming IPO, engagements like this reinforce the growing recognition of strategic infrastructure as a critical driver of Africaโ€™s long-term growth and economic transformation. #DangoteRefinery #DangoteGroup #Industrialisation

Miriam Makeba said the toughest moment for her in exile was the death of her daughter, Bongi. Sad. On this clip from the ##FeliciaShow we capture three generations- including Bongi singing with her mom, and Miriam's granddaughter, Zenzi dedicating a song to her mom, Bongi.

Thank you for the acknowledgement. As I always say, "You cannot be what you cannot see." I'm always elated to hear that through the #FeliciaShow we were able to make one little girl or boy to dream big. They always tell me when I meet them. Mission accomplished! Let's reminisce.
Sometimes I wonder, Mama @Feliciamabuza whether you will ever know what you meant to the black child, in particular, by the conversations you had, how you shaped narratives and inspired us as we were getting into grips with the reality of our country in our formative yearsโ€ฆ.

Mbeki has recounted how Nigeria, in 1990, persuaded Mugabe to postpone Zimbabweโ€™s land reform programme in support of South Africaโ€™s transition from apartheid. Mbeki explained that Nigeria feared that an abrupt Zimbabwean land reform would spook apartheid criminals, and undermine the fragile negotiations between the regime and the ANC. Zimbabwe duly delayed its reforms, allowing South Africaโ€™s talks to proceed uninterrupted. Yet the ANC chose to betray the liberation struggle by failing to demand immediate land redistribution as a core element of the negotiated political settlement. Zimbabwe later pursued fast-track expropriations from 2000 onward, while South Africa clung to the โ€œwilling buyer, willing sellerโ€ model despite its evident failure in Zimbabwe. Decades later, we still lack meaningful land restitution. We are led by fools.
