💥💥💥 DITTY DEBUT 💥💥💥
Like the sprawling branches of a tenured Magnolia,
@thecalebelliott's sophomore album "Weed, Wine & Time out now via
@SingleLock is beauty and grit personified. From the first track of the record Elliott lays bare a thesis of hope and healing that continues throughout the album’s entirety.
Born and bred in the small northern Louisiana town of Natchitoches, Elliott was raised on traditional gospel and classical music. While these may not be genres he’s drawn to in adulthood, the remnants of a childhood spent practicing cello & singing church tunes around a piano with his entire family have bled into the musician, and man, he is today.
A musician who (perhaps unexpectedly) made his name on the cello, Elliott is joined on the new album by many more friends he's met in his music journeys, including John Paul White, Alabama Shakes' Ben Tanner and Zac Cockrell, Seratones' AJ Haynes and Maggie Rose.
"Weed, Wine & Time" is an album replete with soothing catharsis and challenging introspection. It's an empathetic album, penned from a wide range of viewpoints, that shows the ever-changing face of calamity and offers countless ways we can fight it.
We are thrilled to debut this extremely personal new video for "SISTER". Elliott wrote this song for his older sister when she was fighting for her life in a years-long battle with Cancer. She is thankfully in remission, happy and healthy.
