🔥Advocacy work isn’t easy. It’s not meant to be. True advocacy requires walking alongside people, not speaking for them. It means understanding their reality, their risks, and the systems that have failed them. Early in my career, I worked with women and children fleeing violence. I have never met stronger people than those who make the dangerous decision to leave abuse and rebuild their lives from nothing. Witnessing that level of pain changes you. It also teaches you something essential, resilience is not enough on its own. Without real support systems, determination can still be crushed. That lesson stayed with me. It’s why I am building Cold Case AdvocacyHub. Advocacy isn’t about saviors or soundbites. It’s about building structures that hold people up when the weight is unbearable. Justice work starts there. Funding Gap / DNA Testing / Sponsorship Ask. For 40 years, a family has been waiting for justice. They didn't give up. They stayed organized. They stayed engaged. They did everything right. Twice, New York State Police made a commitment to move this case forward. Twice, the funding was pulled. The first time was 2009. The family rebuilt. They kept pushing. They stayed hopeful. Then a year ago, a second commitment was made. Another agency was brought in to lead the investigation. A lab was identified and agreed to perform the DNA testing. The evidence was there. The path forward was clear. Everything was in place. Then the money disappeared again. After 40 years. After two broken promises. After a lab was ready and waiting — a family is once again being told that testing evidence that could finally name a killer is not a priority. This is not a resource problem. The lab is ready. The evidence exists. The only thing missing is the will to write a check. Now this family — like so many others — is left to do what the state refused to do. They are applying for grants from nonprofits that are already stretched beyond capacity. They are hoping a donation comes through. They are waiting again. This is what justice looks like for cold case families in America. Not a courtroom. Not a verdict. A fundraiser. At CCAH we believe this is unacceptable. Families should not be competing for nonprofit funding to pay for DNA testing that law enforcement promised and abandoned. We are actively looking for agencies, organizations, and individuals working on solutions to this gap. If you have ideas, resources, or models that have worked — we want to hear from you. The cold case community needs more than awareness. It needs infrastructure. Reach out directly to me here or via email at hello@coldcaseadvocates.com #justiceshouldnevergocold

Absolute insanity….here is Mike Johnson saying members of Congress need to be able to continue their insider trading because the yearly salary of $174K with healthcare and taxpayer funded vacations every other week is not enough for them

omg Matt Damon just returned to SNL as Brett Kavanaugh for their Cold Open, along with Aziz Ansari as Kash Patel and Colin Jost as Pete Hegseth Aziz: "We're all living the American dream! I'm the first person in my family to go to college...parties...many years after graduating" Matt: Is that rumor true that you make everyone in the FBI take a polygraph? Aziz: No, I told them to make a graph of everyone in the FBI who's poly. My girlfriend wants to open up our relationship. She said she wants to bring other dudes in the bedroom and for me to stay in the living room.

@mtleake09 You know what to do TrumpRx is a portal. It’s not a middleman. The problem here is not theirs. It’s whoever runs the Oklahoma employee health plan, that hired the PBM, that ripped off everyone involved, including Kent All they had to do was add @costplusdrugs to their pharmacy network and this never would have happened. OKlahoma is one of the states that is figuring out who the crooks are. It for some reason, like so many other states, hires big PBMs and carriers that do shit like this over and over. Stop hiring these companies just because they are big.
Kent McKinley is a cancer patient in Oklahoma covered by the state employee health plan. His pharmacy benefit manager, CVS Caremark, charged that plan $120,000 more per year for his cancer drug than a local pharmacist would have charged. Nobody told him. The middlemen kept the money. The system kept running. Then Donald Trump launched TrumpRx — his marquee drug pricing fix. At a Senate Finance Committee hearing on April 22, 2026, Senator Elizabeth Warren sat across from RFK Jr. and showed him what TrumpRx actually costs. A 30-day supply of Protonix: $200 on TrumpRx. The same generic at Costco: $16.99. One in four drugs on TrumpRx costs more than alternatives. And Big Pharma? They got 100% tariff relief in exchange for listing their drugs on the site. TrumpRx doesn't eliminate the middleman. It is the middleman. Rebranded. With a presidential logo. Watch: youtu.be/BYCU6rBHEbU

So why haven't you come out in support of the Break Up Big Medicine Bill ? Or did I miss it ? Until that passes, there is absolutely zero chance of affordable healthcare or universal healthcare Full Stop
We are the wealthiest country in the world. Health care should be affordable, accessible, and universal. Full stop.

(🧵1/11) For the past year and a half, I've been investigating OpenAI and Sam Altman for @NewYorker. With my coauthor @andrewmarantz, I reviewed never-before-disclosed internal memos, obtained 200 pages of documents related to a close colleague, including extensive private notes, and interviewed more than 100 people. OpenAI was founded on the premise that A.I. could be the most dangerous invention in human history—and that its C.E.O. would need to be a person of uncommon integrity. We lay out the most detailed account yet of why Altman was ousted out by board members and executives who came to believe he lacked that integrity, and ask: were they right to allege that he couldn't be trusted? A thread on some of of our findings:

A year ago, I received a letter from UnitedHealthcare that was meant to scare me into silence. I documented parts of the last year that I haven’t shared before. That morning, as I processed the shock of what was happening on my drive to the hospital, I turned on my phone and started recording. As I spoke to you, my resolve developed. I knew what I had to do. I had to stand up for the truth, my patients, and myself. Even though I was terrified, I found peace and purpose in that moment. Days later, when I shared the threatening letter with you all, you stood with me. I know we are far from done, but I share this now to remind you of the good we can do together.

Join us in wishing Elisa Roberson a happy birthday.
Elisa has been #missing from Aransas Pass, #Texas, since August 6, 1989. Elisa was just 13 years old when she disappeared. On the afternoon of August 6, 1989, she left home to walk and meet a friend halfway at Kieberger Elementary School and never arrived. At the time, she was wearing a light blue Mickey Mouse T-shirt and blue shorts and has a scar on her left thigh. Elisa was a shy, reserved child and a daughter and sister whose life was full of promise. Her disappearance left a void that her family and community have felt every day since. Over three decades later, her loved ones continue to hold onto hope, keep her story alive, and push for answers. Forever loved and always remembered. To learn more about Elisa’s story or share her flyer, visit: lightthewaymissing.com/elisa…
