Ross County Football Club are delighted to share that our long-serving groundsman, Davie Fraser, has been recognised by ProPitch and the SPFL, earning the “Highly Commended Pitch of the Year” award in the Scottish Championship for the 2025/26 season. Ross County CEO Steven Ferguson said: “This award is no less than Davie deserves for the outstanding job he is doing at Ross County. “Knowing Davie, he wouldn't thank you much at all for the praise, but I can't state enough how grateful we all are to have had him looking after our pitch for the last 30 years. “Davie does an unbelievable job, and in all weathers makes sure our park is in top condition. "Not many could match the care, attention to detail and work ethic that Davie provides for the club. “I think it is important to note that the other three clubs picking up awards are all hybrid pitches, with teams of multiple ground staff looking after their pitch, whereas Davie is very much a team of one, working on a traditional grass playing surface. “Well done, Davie, a true club legend!” #Staggies

Based on the fixtures for Pot 3 teams in previous years, it looks like it’ll be; Dundee (H) Airdrie (A) Clyde (H) Annan Athletic (A) I think it’s a pretty decent draw - Especially as we’ve avoided a Championship team from Pot 2.
Our Premier Sports Cup Group! We will face Dundee, Airdrie, Clyde and Annan Athletic. Fixture details to follow in due course. #Staggies

An absolutely terrible decision from the club. We all expected a mass clear out of players but Jordan absolutely did not deserve to be part of it - It’s ridiculous to not even offer him a contract. He always gave absolutely everything on the park during his five and a half years at County - He’s one of very few who did not let himself or the club down with his commitment levels and performances this season. Off the park, his experience and leadership would have been so important to aid the development of the younger strikers like Calum Brown and Joe Coyle - In my opinion, I think there was a decent argument that he could have been the captain next season. He received endless amounts of undeserved criticism from certain individuals but most fans would agree that we were a much better team when he was in the side - He occupied defenders and created space for others to play and try and hurt the opposition. Considering that Jordan’s wife is heavily pregnant and due to give birth in the coming days, the timing of this decision looks even worse given the uncertainty it’ll cause for him and his family at this time. Based on the dedication he’s shown to the club on and off the park, Jordan’s County career didn’t deserve to end like this - If this is what the “reset” that fans were promised is going to look like, then it’s off to a horrendous start.

One player I’m sorry to see leave. Could never question his efforts, might not have been a prolific scorer, but the team seemed to score more when he played. He’ll have no problems getting another club Will be the first of many leaving over next few days though.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our former chairman, Hector Maclennan. His dedication and leadership played a key role in saving the club, steering us to Highland League and cup success, then leading us into the Scottish Football League. His commitment and passion will never be forgotten, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone connected to the club. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

This team never fail to amaze me how they just crumble when they concede a goal Next weeks game is now the biggest game of the season - an absolute must win! Realistically 8th is probably as good as we can achieve now, but we’ll probably need 10 of the 15 points available
Defeat.

⏪ On this day 10 years ago… 🏆 We made history by winning the League Cup! ⚽️ Michael Gardyne and Alex Schalk scored as we defeated Hibernian 2-1! One of the greatest ever achievements in the history of the football club - a day that will never be forgotten, and one that should always be celebrated.
