The Fish returned to League action today after over 5 months off & despite suffering a heavy 9-0 defeat to Park Royal the spirit in our squad was there for all to see. We go again next week. C’mon the Fish! #fisharmy#mmksfl#kentfa#sundayleaguefootball
With Kent moving to Tier 3 after the lockdown period ends & rising cases in the Maidstone area we see little gain by completing two fixture in 2020.
As a result the @MMKSFL have decided to pause ALL fixtures until January 10th 2021.
We hope everyone has a safe Xmas with family
The good news is that @MMKSFL fixtures are planned to start back on Sunday, 6 December 2020 - provided restrictions are lifted.
20-Dec is an optional weekend for a fixture - contact the league if you wish to play.
Fixtures will commence on Sunday, 3 January in the new year!
Another week, another much changed starting XI but the lads put in a sterling performance to go in at halftime 0-0. A lack of options on the bench & the inevitable fatigue in the 2nd half meant @captainneroblue ran away with it in the end 7-0 #fisharmy#mmksfl#kentfa
Congrats to @aylesfordmensfc on an emphatic 9-2 victory today. Chris Reader scored both our goals on debut, well played sir. Contrary to persistent rumours we’re NOT folding. We fight on next week against @captainneroblue in the Challenge Cup #fisharmy#mmksfl#kentfa
We travel to Forstal Road tomorrow morning to take on @aylesfordmensfc in the Prem. With both sides looking to pick up their first points of the season it should be a cracking game. C’mon the Fish! #fisharmy#mmksfl#kentfa#sundayleaguefootball
No lack of effort from our boys today but ultimately Park Royal’s quality & strength in depth shone through resulting in a 6 nil victory. #fisharmy#mmksfl#kentfa#sundayleaguefootball
A much changed Fish squad battled hard against @GoldInvicta on Sunday & were agonisingly denied a last minute equaliser by an excellent save. We dominated for large periods of the game but couldn’t get the all important goals needed. IGS 3-2 winners #fisharmy#mmksfl#kentfa
It has been a crazy week at Fish HQ with numerous players leaving, injuries & suspensions to deal with. Inevitably it didn't take long for the rumours to start that we would fold, but anyone who believed that we would just roll over & die clearly doesn't know this club very well.
Thanks to several old friends rejoining the club and the addition of some new players to the remaining squad members we are ready for IGS at home this Sunday and for whatever challenges the rest of the season throws at us. #fisharmy#mmksfl#kentfa#sundayleaguefootball
The Fish were within 1 min of claiming a point with just 7 men on the field at the end of the game before K Sports Express scored their 2nd pen of the match to win 2-1. A lack of discipline cost us dearly today. #fisharmy#mmksfl#kentfa#sundayleaguefootball
After last weeks goal fest in the cup it’s back to League action this Sunday with a trip to Cobdown to face K Sports Express. C’mon the Fish! #fisharmy#mmksfl#kentfa#sundayleaguefootball
The Fish progress to R2 of the Challenge Cup with an emphatic 10-0 win against Maidstone International. Goals from Scarpa (4) Dan (2) Diz (2) Joe D and Conor. Well played lads 👏🏻 #fisharmy#mmksfl#kentfa#sundayleaguefootball
Sadly no one got the chance to play their cup finals last season (2 in our case) due to COVID-19 restrictions, so here’s hoping for better luck to all clubs involved this time around #mmksfl#kentfa#fisharmy
