12m late leaving Brum on Cross Country... As usual, no apology, no excuse, not even an "oops". Really, as a fundamental mode of transport, our railways are frankly piss poor.

Trains leaving 21 minutes late in this country is friggin disgraceful. Broken connections, no apologies; overly priced. No wonder people would prefer to use the roads.

20 mph on an intercity train because of "speed restrictions". wtaf does that mean. God help us all when (if) HS2 ever gets going. Wrong type of snow/wind/rain (delete where applicable)

30 minutes on the phone waiting for a company to answer .. for something that could be sorted in minutes 'cept their website's registration process is fubar - got to love technology.

Laughable insurance policy renewal landed on my doorstep this morning. Up 43%. When asked, they were willing to reduce by the princely sum of £45. Searched around, got a quote for £300 cheaper with the same benefits. I'm sure the insurers just roll 3D6 for the quote.
