The ISTE Certified Educator training is like "marathon training" because "it's complex, varied, and takes a lot of time". Let's hope for the same rewarding feeling at the finish line.

What takeaway do you have after today’s session?
@atilamrac@DaisySam1@ajbloom2pnt0 I can't stop thinking about copyleft and what other corners of the #edtech world I can uncover with this #istecert
"It just continues to put students behind when they don't have source materials that can actually tell them who they are." @IamGMJohnson and @ALALibrary's Deborah Caldwell-Stone join Beyond the Scenes host @roywoodjr to discuss America's book bans.
you know what gives me more hope for the future than almost anything? the fact that libraries still exist.

To gather input from as many Pennsylvanians as possible – those who use and support libraries and those who don't, consider this brief two-question survey.

Powerful written testimony by @thehullpackage to the House SubComm Hearing 'Free Speech Under Attack': "Banning books is no way to foster our students’ curiosity, desire to learn, faith in themselves, or faith in our democracy." @PSLA_Newsoversight.house.gov/sites/de…
Thank you to the incredible witnesses who stood up to speak to the importance of everyone's freedom to read in libraries, including ALA member @thehullpackage! We couldn't be prouder of your testimony today.

"Librarians are in it for the long game. We fight with courage in our hearts to balance the shelves so students can see themselves in what they read, find what they need, when they need it, and have a safe place to do so." Thank you @thehullpackage for speaking out for students!
I sat down with school librarian Samantha Hull to hear about her vision for public libraries and librarians. As far-right attacks on LGBTQ children and non-white children reach a fever pitch, librarians are critical friends in the fight for knowledge, compassion, and community.
Interviews with librarians in eight states and nearly a dozen districts revealed similar stories that paint what they describe as a bleak picture of their profession, as they fret about and fight against American schoolchildren’s shrinking freedom to read.
