Namely fees to AirBnB that the renter/guest pays and cleaning fees, etc that hotels don’t charge. So while taxes the guest pays are lower, that doesn’t put an STR at any advantage over a hotel. Especially for stays of only a few nights.

Why is there no CAN SPAM like act for (unwanted) hard mailed catalogs and magazines? A few services that will help you get off of mailing lists, but seems a vast waste of resources going into land fill/recycling...not to mention production in the first place.

Followup - just got a policy through @Safecoinsurance - took very little time and they were super pleasant to deal with. If you are insuring a classic vehicle, give them a try! Better rates than @hagerty as well.
