I’ve seen posts talk about @jackfriks only gets sales because of his audience. But they don’t know he talked about writing a book 3 years ago and got 58 views. He didn’t quit making things.

My dad is a garbage man. He found a brand new one with a busted box at his transfer station in 1999. They destroy everything now before throwing away.

You need the aluminum Rimowa so you can get selected for secondary drug search before boarding a plane in Colombia.
It's not just luxury hotels that are a scam, it's almost everything that's luxury that's a scam Gf bought Rimowa suitcases, expensive and supposed to be better quality than regular ones, but of course they're much worse They keep breaking, like all of them, cracks in the handles, cracks in the sides, it's just cheap plastic shit but it costs $1000 or more Rimowa was bought by LVMH in 2016 which has an average profit margin of 66% and whose strategy is to increase prices by ~5x, decrease costs by ~5x and then create artificial scarcity (limited availability per shop) because people want what they can't get (not me though but many) LVMH is kinda like the luxury version of private equity, it makes everything more expensive and worse and hard to get!

Shout out mom for buying Ocarina of Time for me in 1998 for what today would be $122.

I’ve been learning Thai for over a year. It’s hard but learning the language where you live is one of the most rewarding things you can do. It will change your experience completely.
I have been learning Spanish for 9 months. I can now speak conversationally. What helped, ranked from worst to best: 1. Duolingo 2. Moving to a Spanish-speaking country and feeling like a f**king idiot for 6 months If you can get past the fear of looking stupid, learning is fun.

Anthropic is paying $300,000 for a copy lead. Do they know that they can just use a $20 pro plan for this?

In 2010 I rented a 2 bedroom townhouse for $600. That same townhouse is $2,100 now.

Casey Neistat tricked me into buying this damn thing when I was 21.
I’ve had pretty much every fitness tracker / gadget ever made. This is still my favorite of all time. RIP Nike Fuelband, 2012-2014

I wrote a bad review for my apartment that had toilet sewer gas leak, broken ac and cockroach investigation on the day I moved in. Google deleted my review. I moved out 3 days later.
After this post my Google Maps has now also been banned from reviewing places No wonder every place is now a 4.7/5, they all converge to that rating if you just remove all the bad ratings Interestingly, my account has been banned because of my reviews in Dubai from ages ago, I know UAE has strict defamation laws, so I think businesses use that to remove reviews there I don't know why the Google Maps team is allowing this though, a review or rating is not defamation, it's just an opinion, and Google needs that opinion for people to know where to go What Google should be doing I think is defending the people who review and rate places in court wherever they live, because by just allowing any business to remove bad ratings/reviews, they make Google Maps completely non-credible! Long term people will just use other apps to find good places and I don't think you want that @sundarpichai Maybe we need @X Maps with real reviews @elonmusk?

Just buy a Timex. The only thing that is different is 3 letters. And you can buy one.

Never mind about the Rolex… had no idea buying one was like buying a Ferrari, where you have to beg, jump though hoops and then buy products you don’t want to get the one you do want! 😂 thought it would be fun to own, but would much prefer to just order something on a website (like a Tesla!) and be done with it. These retail and reseller channels make things far too time consuming Is there a nice watch I can just… order?

These book influencers who don't read drive me nuts. How can 8.4K people be this gullible? Dude cannot answer a single question about the content of Monte Cristo. Such a cynical use of great literature. Pretend reading has become a monetizable thing.
