When I pitched the idea for a daily podcast -- a podcast! 5 days a week! Covering the news! -- most thought it harebrained. But The Times didn’t. I’m grateful.

This is igniting old work nightmares which involved trying to do broadcast work from places that weren’t the studio (most terrifying one I was on deadline producing a piece using only the tape deck in our old family van). Bravo @NPRNedWharton & all the engineers behind this
