On 11 Jun Il-76MD-90A RF-78663 RFF8795 flew from Moscow (CKL) to Khmejmim Airbase SYR later departing and likely flying to al Khadim LBY as RFF801. On 14 Jun it was tracked departing Harare ZWE as RFF8813 and flying north.

On 09 Jun SFS Tu-154M CARELESS RA-85123 RFF64768 flew from Moscow (CKL) to Khmejmim Airbase SYR departing later and flying southwest. On 14 Jun it was tracked (albeit erratically) as RFF708 approaching Bamako MLI from the east. Likely more support for the Afrikanskij Korpus.

The airport housed 4 Su-34ME (Fullback), 12 Su-24MR (Fencer-E), 1 Beechcraft King Air, and 1 Orion-E/Wing Loong 2.
At the beginning of 2026, at least four Su-34ME in ocean blue camouflage from the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association Plant arrived at Laghouat Airport.
On March 24, Su-34ME and Su-24MK of the Algerian Air Force conducted training exercises at Laghouat Airport. The Orion-E or Wing Loong 2 participated in the exercises.
A few Algerian Su-34ME in desert camouflage continue conducting test flights from Akhtubinsk Air Base and Ramenskoye Airport.

On 13 Jun SFS SS100 RA-89040 RSD793 flew from Moscow (VKO) to St P-Burg (LED) and returned to Moscow after about one hour on the ground. RSD793 is used by Patriarch Kirill who recently made two trips to K-Grad on a Tu-214PU Airborne Command Post. I still think that the reason he used a Tu-214PU Airborne Command Post for this trips to K-Grad because of its self-protection systems.

After flying Moscow (CKL) – Khmejmim Airbase SYR – al Khadim LBY – south on 4-6 Jun, on 07 Jun SFS An-124 CONDOR RA-82037 arrived from the east at Dar-es-Salaam TZA as RFF501. It took off from there on 12 Jun still as RFF501 and flew northwest. Some of the time from 07-12 Jun it may have been in MDG.

SFS An-124 CONDOR RA-82037 flew to Khmejmim Airbase SYR as RFF808 with suggests that it stopped at al Khadim LBY. After 12 plus hours on the ground (crew rest) it took off and returned to Moscow as RFF8802.

On 12 Jun TAE Avia Il-76TD EW-355TH took off from Jeddah SAU and while en route back to BLR appeared to take a little detour over UKR and Western Europe. It did not; just more (intentional) spoofing.

More blatant spoofing: On 11 Jun Rada Airlines Il-62M CLASSIC EW-505TR took off from Vitebsk BLR and flew to Dubai UAE. Tracking had the aircraft flying south over UKR, the Black Sea, TUR, the Mediterranean Sea and over EGY before it ‘jumped’ to the Caspian Sea where it continued south over IRN and into the UAE.

On 10 Jun Tu-214PU Airborne Command Post RA-64533 RSD793 flew from Moscow (VKO) to K-Grad (KGD). It departed after approximately two hours and is en route back to (VKO). RSD793 is used by Patriarch Kirill and in the past he has made multiple trips to K-Grad during the month of Jun.

On 31 May Il-76MD-90A RF-78663 flew from Moscow (CKL) to Khmejmim Airbase SYR later departing and flying to LBY (likely al Khadim). On 02 Jun it was tracked arriving at Bamako MLI. It departed on 03 Jun and flew back to al Khadim.

On 03 Jun it again arrived at Bamako departing on 07 Jun again back to al Khadim. On 09 Jun it flew to Khmejmim Airbase later departing for RUS. This aircraft flew to Bamako on 20, 21, 22 & 23 May before returning to RUS for this round of flights.

After arriving at Al Khadim LBY from Khmejmim Airbase SYR on 05 Jun, on 06 Jun SFS An-124 CONDOR RA-82037 took off as RFF501 and headed south with a likely destination of Bamako MLI. This is the first time I have seen RFF501 used and cannot find it in the FR24 database history.

I posted earlier that I had not seen RFF501 used before but after some more searching I found that it had been used once before on 28 May by Il-76MD-90A CANDID RF-78666 as it departed Dar-es-Salaam and flew west. I suspect RF-78666 had been to Ivato International Airport.

RFF501 is still not in the FR24 database history, but if/when we see it again let’s tentatively associate it with flights into/out of Dar-es-Salaam and Ivato International Airport.
