Modern #AI agents are often much simpler architecturally than people expect. A large part of modern agentic workflows comes down to iterative loops where models reason about a task, decide which tools to call, inspect results, and continue executing until the assignment is complete. The conversation around coding agents is increasingly shifting toward how these orchestration patterns work in practice, how tools interact with models, and what makes some agent workflows more reliable and effective than others. Questions around code review, validation, governance, context management, onboarding, quality, and developer workflows become much more important once AI moves beyond experimentation. At This Dot Labs, we help engineering organizations navigate that transition through #AI strategy, enablement, workflow design, and hands-on implementation support. We want to meet you. Every #AI company seems convinced their harness is the secret sauce. But if developers can't customize it, inspect it, or extend it, that advantage may not last very long. The biggest software platforms in history won by opening up, not locking down. AI harnesses may be heading toward the same reality.

We're hiring an #Android/#Kotlin Engineer at This Dot Labs to help expand and improve automated test coverage for an existing Android application. The role focuses on strengthening unit, integration, and UI testing across a mature codebase that already uses JUnit4, MockK, Robolectric, Espresso, UI Automator, AndroidX testing tools, and Jetpack Compose testing APIs. We're looking for someone with strong Kotlin and Android experience who can independently identify testing gaps, improve coverage, and help raise overall application quality. Fully remote with overlap in U.S. time zones required. We are not considering APAC candidates for this hiring round. Interested? DM @ladyleet or email jobs@thisdot.co.

AI application ecosystems are growing fast, and the operational challenges around security, governance, and trust are growing right alongside them. MCP Apps and emerging #AI app marketplaces are introducing new questions around how connected tools access active AI conversations, external services, and sensitive organizational context. As AI-powered applications become embedded directly into platforms like @ChatGPTapp and @Claudeai, concerns around approval workflows, permission boundaries, protocol stability, auditing, and long-term governance are becoming increasingly important. The rapid expansion of these ecosystems is pushing engineering teams to think more carefully about how AI systems are integrated, monitored, secured, and maintained as capabilities continue to evolve.
