If you blow 10k a month in tokens, that is your problem
If you blow $500 million in one month, that is Anthropic's problem

First github gets a 3rd party issues/downtime tracker and now Claude is getting a hate-site that is essentially a huge dump of all of it's "fails"

A lot of the conversation around coding agents focuses on the model.
The harness layer is just as important.
It’s what controls tools, execution flow, permissions, and the structure around how agents actually operate. Really solid breakdown of how systems like @Claudeai Code and #Codex work under the hood.
Review the anatomy of a harness with @BrandonMathis. Link in bio!
ALT Alt text: Promotional graphic for a This Dot Labs video titled “This Dot AI Field Notes: Anatomy of a Coding Harness.” A blue technology-themed background features circuit patterns, code snippets, and workflow diagrams. On the left, a man with glasses and a beard speaks into a microphone while gesturing with one hand. On the right, an illustrated diagram shows connected AI workflow components leading into a software interface panel. The This Dot Labs logo appears in the bottom-right corner.
Walk through how tools like @claudeai Code and Codex actually operate under the hood, including how the harness manages tool access, file operations, execution loops, and deterministic control around the #LLM with @brandonmathis.

1/ At @ThisDotLabs, I built a Codex Plugin, called Build Web Data Visualization with DevEx Lead @coreyching from OpenAI.
With this plugin, Codex uses image gen to design the app and then implements it really well. See the examples below. Claude can’t do this!🧵
$250k spent in 1 week on LLM tokens is wild.
I hate to burst everyone's bubble but there is no reality where an engineer will have this level of spending latitude.
Once we connect all of our systems with AI and have clear insight into tokens utilized to build a piece of functionality, the REAL tokenmaxxers will be the ones shipping with 0 token spend 💸💸💸 📈📈📈 💪💪💪
I have been studying coding harness internals for quite some time now and created an infographic to help other devs understand the anatomy of a coding harness

The LARP has become real for Kevin O'Leary. This guy is so lost in the sauce that the character and person have completely blurred into a warped perspective on free market capitalism.
Running coding agents remotely in the cloud starts to feel very different from traditional #AI-assisted development.
@BrandonMathis shows how @claudeai Code can run entirely in the cloud, connect directly to repos, execute workflows remotely, and open PRs without touching your local machine.
Really interesting glimpse into where asynchronous agent workflows are heading.

I have been off Claude Code for 4 week now and i do not miss it
The extensibility and quality of output from harnesses like Pi is simply superior and I can customize to my heart's content
I saw this post on Reddit "What are we doing with juniors these days?"
Some devs may want to look in the mirror. YOU may be the junior now

People of pi.dev. Do not install.by via any method other than what's shown on the website and in the docs.
E.g. we do not publish to brew and never will. Someone else did. We have zero control over what goes into the brew release.
Insane level of projection here. The companies most at-risk of their moat disappearing are companies like Anthropic and OpenAI.
The models are not improving. The only thing that will save Dario is to release an actually profitable product but he can't seem to make that (even with the amazing help of their Mythos model)
