We spent the last 2 days at START Summit 2026 🏆 Won the Swiss Sustainable Impact Award 🎤 Strong pitches by Jess 🤝 Met incredible founders & investors Most of all - reminded why we’re building this. Water is still invisible. We’re changing that. 🌊 #STARTSummit #START26

Jess pitched Riverkin this week at the W.A. de Vigier Stiftung Selection Day in Solothurn, where 50 startups presented. We didn’t make the Top 15 this time. A bit disappointing, of course. But as Roger Federer says: it’s just one point in the game. On to the next one 🌊

Two days at Fund F portfolio days in Vienna. Workshops, LP discussions, and a Q&A with the CSO of Bitpanda. One theme that surfaced repeatedly: renewed curiosity around hardware as more defensible, long-term systems. Interesting shift to observe. #WaterTech

Hardware progress is rarely loud. Our latest sensor iteration is being assembled with Antrimon Group AG. This phase is all about details and testing, the small decisions that matter in real conditions. Next step: manufacturing trial batch. #WaterTech #Hardware

Spotted: a fish out of water 🐟 Our sensors don’t usually enjoy rooftop sunsets, but yesterday they were briefly evicted from their natural habitat while we tested different satellite module settings.

One month ago, we received our first REAL prototypes from the manufacturer. Not handmade, not lab-only, but the real deal. It’s been intensive testing in the lab and in the field. And yes, we are also making time for some very serious “team building” before the holidays 🍻

Riverkin joined the Bridges Horizon Europe event in Greece, with Massimo exploring how environmental data can strengthen aquaculture, civil security and multi hazard resilience. Strong interest in continuous water quality data. Looking forward to next steps.

Last spring at Riverkin we hand-built ~100 water sensors and shipped them worldwide. We gave 5% to Students for Rivers Camp on the Marañón, the hydrological source of the Amazon. Quietly proud and grateful to @CollectiveRiver.

Meet Lilibeth the student we sponsored “The experience in the Marañón opened my mind to new perspectives [..] I realized that river management is not only about infrastructure, but also about knowledge, communities, and the many potentialities that rivers hold as sources of life”

14 students (10 from Peru) spent two weeks on a 145 km stretch turning knowledge into action for river protection. The Marañón carries water, sediment, and nutrients from the Andes to the Amazon rainforest.
