Several months ago, I received a life changing email of a brief to pitch and film a docu-film by the Guinness global team. Getting the email alone was already a win even if I didn’t get selected. Took a bet on myself, went all out with my pitch deck and did what I know how to do best during the pitch. The call came in two weeks after, we won. I had the opportunity to collaborate with @joanrispa as our story consultant and writer. Now I don’t just get to film in Nigeria, I get to film across Africa with my selected team. Working with the Guinness team was a dream come true. From the pitch to filming and working with various teams across Africa. ‘SHINE’ is a docu-film that explores the inspiring journeys of dedicated football enthusiasts in Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana, who are redefining the essence of the beautiful game in their local communities. Grateful to everyone @TheRixelStudios, the cast and crew team who put in months of work to bring this vision to life. SHINE is now streaming on showmax. 🍻
