A few thoughts after Carrick’s two matches: - The starting XI is the most technical United team. Dalot is the only exception, but Maz was at AfCon so there was no other choice at RB. - Players are well-coached. Passing is fast and often one-touch/rondo style, with players deciding the pass before they get the ball. - Football is possession-heavy, attack-first with preference to vertical passing, and forward runs. - Long balls are controlled with a view of retaining the ball possession, rather than simply clearing it. - Defensive set-up is high quality with experienced defenders Maguire/Licha/Shaw preferred to Yoro/Heaven. Early signs are very positive. With 1-game per week schedule, the players can remain fresh and play with high-intensity. The coaching team is prioritizing shorter training sessions which are more intense. All good signs. GGMU.
A MASSIVE RESULT IN THE CAPITAL 💪

In last 12 years, United have tried: -Promising PL manager -Successful International CL manager -Successful PL CL manager who recently won PL -Club legend -promising “modern football” manager -promising highly-rated, manager with “style of football” Who’s next?
Amorim won't get sacked but if it happens, I want Conte to be the next manager. None of these managers from small clubs who get hyped for a couple of good games. Every season there's one. Nuno with Forest, Potter with Brighton, Frank with Brentford and now it's Iraola's time for all the hype lol. Just bring me Conte. A proper winner who will make these players throw up from running. No more experiments, please.

This guy has no idea what football coaching. Somehow finishing chances, hitting the target and defending set pieces is not coaching.
Players can’t score goals from 5 yards and people on this app will blame the formation and the inverted CCB if we drop points in this game 😂

He also doesn’t look when United are taking penalties or defending corners. It’s really bad and disqualifying for any employee of any organization (let alone a manager) to act like this. Very few fans are getting this.
"Sometimes I want to quit, sometimes I want to be here for 20 years." Rúben Amorim defended his emotional response after Manchester United’s defeat to Grimsby Town but admitted he wants to improve how he reacts 🗣️

Challenge: say something positive about Manchester United after this.
Onana can't keep out Burns' effort. Mbeumo's hits the bar. The Reds exit the Carabao Cup. Grimsby: ✅ United: ❌

Amateur opinion. Players know before everyone else that the system/formation/tactics won’t work. They lose confidence in it, and that becomes apparent on the pitch. If this happens, It’s almost impossible to win.
Amorim basically admitted that these players want me gone. Fine, let’s say he leaves. But what do we do about the fact that the players are pulling the same stunt again? They’re getting bored of managers and just deciding when it’s time to sack them. And we’re all okay with this? Do you honestly believe we’ll ever become a serious club by giving the players this entitlement? It’s the same cycle repeating itself. We might just accept we’re finished. Way better for our mental health.

🚨 Man Utd contact Brighton via intermediaries to explore conditions of deal for Carlos Baleba. #BHAFC do not plan to sell this summer & all sides aware move may be unrealistic. But #MUFC keen should know in coming days if plausible or not @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/6524982…

If United don’t buy a good midfielder who can cover ground, Amorim will be sacked before January.
Central midfield still appears a bit of a concern for Amorim. "We have a lack of pace, especially in the middle of the park. And you can feel it is hard to win/bring the ball. But we created chances." #MUFC #LUFC

I really liked DDG. He won player-of-the-season multiple times as a GK. He single-handedly saved United from many losses. He was a world-class shot stopper. But in my mind, his legacy would forever be tarnished by that final against Villarreal.
14 years ago today, #mufc signed @D_DeGea from Atletico Madrid for £18.9 million 🧤🇪🇸 On his day, he was simply unbeatable 🤩🔥

At this point, people should stop talking about Mbeumo deal unless it’s a Here-we-go or news about United walking away from it. These daily updates of “contacts” and negotiations are getting tiresome ngl.
🚨🗣️ @FabrizioRomano on Mbeumo: "The contacts continue, even today, between Manchester United and Brentford. Constant contact between the two clubs to reach an agreement for Bryan Mbeumo. There is still no ‘here we go’ but Man United keep working on that. Man United keep advancing. Man United keep their optimism to make the deal happen. Manchester United are going very strong for Bryan Mbeumo and now the feeling is quite positive on that one. Man United will be pushing and pushing again to get it over the line. The here we go is still a strong possibility for Bryan Mbeumo as a new Manchester United player." #MUFC
