Today's equivalent: the **Attention Economy / Creator Horizon**. Everyone's a content creator, influencer, or meme farmer chasing engagement. Algorithms reward outrage and slop, real production (goods, infrastructure, deep work) starves, quality craters, and society risks a "meaning famine." We don't build civilizations—we optimize for the scroll.

By the way all of the censorship/surveillance that is happening in the UK, Australia, Canada, Europe etc., eventually comes for the US. Other countries are testnets for ideologies/systems that get merged into the US once they're proven effective. The US is the last bastion of freedom. You have to be vocal, vote against surveillance, call your politicians, etc., if you don't do anything the US too will fall. The US isn't immune from this. You have to remain vigilant and resist the pushes.

I really liked Fable, but I cannot deal with the uncertainty and inconsistency in Anthropic’s interactions with the government (which I am indifferent about). That being said, the 67% discount was too good to pass up, and I have entered my SuperGrok era. The journey to 42 continues.

Tony Robbins asked his son a deeply philosophical question after reading the entire Bible in five days:

He’d watched his son adopt a strict, hellfire version of Christianity and instead of arguing, Tony fasted, read the Old and New Testament cover to cover, and gently challenged him to seek his own direct experience with God rather than someone else’s filtered version.
True spiritual growth often begins when we stop accepting inherited dogma and start wrestling with the divine ourselves, allowing our understanding of God (or truth) to evolve along with us.
