đ¨New metric release day from the Statcast factory at Baseball Savant
How much do pitchers miss the bat by? Is the bat over the ball or under? Tied up, or flailing? Is the batter early? Or late?

Had a good tournament at @Bradley_Eaglesâs PSL Invitational. Slashed .571/.667/1.381, hit the ball hard all weekend and picked up my first 2B of the summer, along with 3 more RBI. Also set a PR with running a 6.98 60 at the scout day.

I respect Rich and believe thereâs a lot of good stuff to HLP.
That has nothing to do with using data to target player deficiencies and gain an edge in player acq/development.
We are having two entirely separate conversations
That clip all sounds so nice, it's just completely wrong. Jordan Walker's swing is faster and longer than ever, and he's having a monster year.
He's 100th percentile in swing speed, even with two strikes.
Does anyone know if pitch level CSW%/whiff%/ SwStr% has any significance for home/road splits? Or would sample size generally be too small (looking at year to year)?

#5 Noah Caruso (Whitman)
From Matt Ryan to Sammy Berman to this kid, the Vikings have been blessed at SS to say the least. Got 50 PAs as a freshman. Electric swing torque. .484 AVG/1.439 OPS this past fall with DMV Prospects 2028.

Gets behind early but battles with 2 strikes to send a single straight back up the middle.
Intriguing freshman here with a bright future ahead.

âThe shortest path is a straight lineâ will never make sense for hitting as it ignores one of the most important forces in hitting/physics:
Gravity
Had a great fall with the DMV Prospects this year. I finished the fall with a.485 BA, .568 OBP, 1.439 OPS, and had 12 SBâs against the top competitors in the area. Thanks @DMVProspectsBSB,@CoachHackey, @TJcaswell2882 for putting together and great fall season.
