It has not “evolved”. With the addition of social media and the good that has come from it, there’s a lot of bad that has come from it too. The “Look at me” it has created and the constant chase for players trying to create their brand has led to a lot of selfishness. Chase the money 💰 and you’ll lose.

I get “what gets them paid” but this is a TEAM game. That kind of selfish thinking is what’s wrong with today’s players and society frankly because they hear it from SELFISH people like yourself. That SELFISH thinking is the reason the product on the field is down.

My #1 complaint about analytics. It has lowered the standard of "greatness" in every area of the game. 90% of what these people consider great used be considered below average and a ticket back to AAA.

COACHES: You can get the answer without much effort by looking at video, but until you sit down and have a conversation with a hitter, you can't get the understanding. Hitting is a conversation. #GoodBatting

These hitters don’t know any better. They are SURROUNDED by NON BASEBALL people! These orgs are hiring NON BASEBALL people and telling them to coach professionals. Hence a worse product on the field.
