A ᴑ shaped tunnel boring machine deployed on the Shanghai Metro Line 12 west extension in Late May 2026. This machine creates a sideways θ tunnel for Line 12 trains to run under the elevated Line 9 Dongjing Station.

PSA for local customers - warning, some stops are being closed or moved with no warning, and in some cases no information provided at closed stops. This also affects school bus routes. (Pic of closed stop, no information provided)
#BusNews: Last week, Auckland Transport began sending out information pamphlets to neighborhoods affected by changes being implemented from 14 June 2026. The pamphlets were dropped into mailboxes throughout the Glen Eden and Titirangi areas outlining the service improvements.

Introducing the Scottish-American travel dictionary 🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We’ve put together this guide to keep the Tartan Army out of trouble in the States. Read carefully to avoid confusing the locals, deeply offending the country, or being interrogated by Homeland Security over a sandwich.

I could have spent all day on Seaburn Beach today. The colours in the sea, the shower clouds and the light were just perfect.

This map shows annual truck traffic on European main roads, colored by route distance. The map gives a sense of on which corridors the long distance traffic travels and how far the infrastructure interdependencies within the network road reach. Very helpful information when planning charging infrastructure. Source: data.mendeley.com/datasets/c… HT Jakob Rogstadius

This applies to land use regulations also. Don't rely on predicting specific development outcomes; do allow lots of possibilities; do say what you think are good outcomes, not specific forms.
In urban planning almost all predictions are useless. Plan for freedom instead! sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

Infrastructure is a way to force your grandchildren to live by your values even after you’re gone. We’re car dependent in the US because that’s what our grandparents lovingly built for us. What if we wanted our grandchildren to have choices? First step: stop predicting! 9/

A good example of the low-cost investments made in countries where people using public transit are viewed as valued citizens and taxpayers.
