Scotland is facing an unprecedented cost of living crisis - rising bills and soaring food and fuel prices, and the UK government is sitting on its hands. The House of Commons must be recalled, so that the UK government can be forced into urgent action to support people.

We did say closing Scotland's only refinery would leave us fuel insecure - an oil producing country relying solely on imports in a volatile world with potential conflict, shipping problems, and at the very end of a supply chain. It wasn't exactly rocket science to predict 🚀

Functional depression is a real thing. You work, joke, make people happy, and take care of your family, yet mentally, you’re drowning in your own thoughts.

I swear, what’s happening now is the height of humiliation. Over 30,000 tents are flooding at this very moment children, the elderly, and families all trapped inside. Bedding is soaked, the cold is unbearable, and rainwater has mixed with sewage, washing away the last traces of dignity. We film, we document, we share it with the world…but no one responds. It’s as if the world has gotten used to these scenes, as if our suffering has become part of their daily routine. We’re not asking for the impossible just shelter to protect our lives. Simple caravans to shield us from the rain and cold. Nothing more. Yet even that seems too much for “humanity” to offer. We don’t know how long we’ll remain like this. We don’t understand this neglect. Are our lives really this cheap?

There are a number of Scots - including Sid Khan from Glasgow - who were on the Flotilla, which has now been intercepted by Israeli forces. The UK Government should demand no harm comes to them, or anyone aboard this humanitarian mission. End the blockade and let aid into Gaza!

I’m very proud to be British today. We have a PM working hard to make our great country work for everybody - we must unite against the division of Farage.
