A son of Gaston County, Carl became a respected attorney and the first Speaker of the North Carolina House elected to two consecutive terms. He spent decades serving our state — North Carolina is stronger because of his hard work and dedication.

I recently toured Metrolina Greenhouses in Huntersville, a family-owned business founded in 1972 and still led by six siblings today.
They grow and ship more than 70 million plants a year, including over 3 million poinsettias this holiday season, supplying 1,400 stores across 19 states. Love the Christmas spirit!

Principal at Ardrey Kell High School, NC says the spirit rock is “under investigation” after it was painted with a tribute to Charlie Kirk.
In 2020 it was painted for George Floyd and was celebrated.
