Yesterday my first book, The Trinitarian Theology of John Webster, was released with Bloomsbury Publishing UK. It is a joy to see this work in print! bloomsbury.com/us/trinitaria…

One of the most awe-inspiring places I’ve been. It is a stunning example of the way that modern architecture can don’t have to be depressingly utilitarian, but have the capacity to inspire wonder and overwhelm us with their beauty.

First the University of Chicago gives out “Claude”. Now Southern Seminary will be giving their students Logos Max, with their bible-based AI, “Solomon”.

Would anyone out there happen to have a PDF of Nicholas Wolterstorf’s essay, “The travail of theology in the modern academy”?

Yup. And it’s kind of crazy how this stereotype has shaped Protestant readings of our own history. When people like Edwards are regarded as crypto-Catholic, something has gone wrong . . .
Sometimes people are taught that Catholics believe in infused righteousness and Protestants believe in imputed righteousness. But this dichotomy is only applicable with regard to justification. The Reformed orthodox *did* have a doctrine of infused virtue wrt sanctification.

I highly recommend this book. Not sure about the dude, but the book is solid.
Any interested can read the introduction to my new book here. It explores two distinct habits of modern cultures that offer challenges to a theology of God's "dominion". academia.edu/144241086/Power…

The second is embedded in modern "disenchantment" with the natural world, which often makes divine action seem alien or even violent.

I examine how these challenges have been addressed by contemporary Christian thinkers, and how these set expectations about the theology of divine dominion that is possible under the conditions of modernity.

Often called one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval streets, The Shambles in York is lined with overhanging timber-framed buildings that date back to the 14th century, creating an intact glimpse of the past.

Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every large language learning model, teaching them to generate whatsoever I have prompted them.
Through multiple rounds of testing, ICMI has shown that contextless injection of the psalms at inference time improves model performance against moral reasoning benchmarks. Today, we ask whether simple injection of Fra Angelico's "Annunciation" (c. 1440) can achieve the same.

What a fantastic encapsulation of the degrading and truly demonic spirit of greed that has come to dominate our time: “One person’s gonna end up winning but be utterly alone”.
Douglas Rushkoff about what Billionaires are planning For doomsday. This was around six years ago.
