Today the government has attempted to lance its Budget boil. What’s clear is that small businesses can’t trust this government. As the Prime Minister has said “you can only lie once”. We have now had two Budgets in a little over a month. We had fewer Budgets at the start of COVID.

This Budget is a train wreck, has shattered consumer & small business confidence, and directly assaults Australia’s future economy. Both the Prime Minister & Treasurer looked like hostages at their own press conference. Change will only come with a Coalition government.

I’m passionate about self-starters and small business, and there’s nothing more offensive than Labor Minister, @AmandaRishworth, deceiving the public and trying to silence small businesses on the taxes Australians didn’t vote for.

The Prime Minister is trying to silence you. The government is ramming its new taxes that no one voted for through Parliament. Labor want to silence you. Tell us your story at notthetax.com.au

Our plan will put Australians first. Lower taxes, more houses, cheaper energy, capping migration based on housing supply.

Welcome to the Chalmers’ parallel universe. The only thing this budget is good for is taxing Australians more, building less homes, and making Australians poorer.

We are delivering real support to small businesses. Expanding the instant asset write-off to $50k and making it permanent, and consulting on a new Small Business Act to protect small businesses from big government and big business. What else do you want to see? Go to standwithsmall.org and share your ideas.

Migration must be linked to our housing supply, because Australians and migrants deserve homes to live in. Labor’s plan leads to less homes, higher rents, and overshooting migration by 90,000. Our plan to match home completions with migration will make the system sustainable and deliver more housing for Australians. Share your story at notthetax.com.au

To read Richard Scolyer’s “final farewell” letter is to recognise that our nation has lost a truly great and gracious Australian. In that goodbye, Professor Scolyer said that “cancer does not define us.” Yet Professor Scolyer’s more than three decades of work has defined cancer research and treatment – inroads that ultimately will help humanity defeat this dreadful disease. Professor Scolyer will be remembered for his breakthroughs in melanoma treatment, including immunotherapy, and being the first patient to receive brain cancer treatment based on what he helped develop. Among his many achievements was his nurturing of young doctors and researchers who will carry on his work. If Professor Scolyer was driven by a responsibility to try and “change the future for others and leave the world a better place”, he did just that. He was brave, bold and challenged the status quo. He was an Australian of the Year, yet Australians will honour him for all the years to come. Our heartfelt thoughts are with Richard’s wife Katie, his children Emily, Matthew and Lucy, his wider family, his colleagues in medicine, and all those whose lives he changed for the better. May Richard Scolyer rest in peace.

Labor is raising taxes on Australians by $255 billion. Instead of working out which groups will get special treatment, they should scrap their toxic taxes and work out how Australians can pay less tax, not more. Supporting the Coalition’s Tax Back Guarantee would be a start. Share your story at notthetax.com.au

Australians will pay $255 billion more in tax because Labor voted 11 times against lower taxes in Parliament yesterday. Now, Labor are trying to silence Australians from having their say during their ‘inquiry’. Share your story at notthetax.com.au

The new tax on Capital Gains is a disaster for all Australians companies and is extremely negative for productivity. This must be stopped.
Just imagine how bad the plan to increase Australia’s productivity would be under @AlboMP’s government if he hadn’t assigned the responsibility to his best and brightest @SenKatyG.
