We are excited to announce the launch of our new #ObserveLikeArtemis Challenge! Inspired by the Artemis II mission? From today (the 22nd of April) to the 22nd of May, show us what Earth means to you by taking GLOBE observations of your favorite features of Earthβ€”whether it’s a cloud, a tree, a local waterway, or soil from a nearby forest! In May we’ll share the number of observations submitted for each sphere. Learn more here: globe.gov/news-events/globe-…

We 're back! Monthly and seasonal temperature, RH, precipitation datasets from April to today are now fully uploaded. Perfect timing too - we’re in the middle of a heavy rain event, giving us plenty of real-time precipitation spikes to analyze. tinycorelab.noblogs.org/proj…

GLOBE volunteers provided critical data about snow cover in a recent collaboration between GLOBE and NASA SnowEx, a multiyear field experiment to study snow cover. GLOBE Observer land cover data verified the presence of snow on the ground, clearing up a faulty instrument reading. GLOBE students provided consistent, ongoing measurements of snow depth at one site, providing a ground record to support airborne measurements. SSTV fans: stay tuned for mid-July activities! It's an appropriate collaboration between ARISS Russia and USA as we celebrate the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. Also, it's been 40 years since SSTV in human spaceflight, so we'll celebrate STS-51F as well.

Mountain ecosystems are biodiversity hotspots, where altitude shapes life. From alpine flowers to elusive roe deer, each layer hosts unique species adapted to extreme conditions. Protecting these fragile zones is key to climate resilience. tinycorelab.noblogs.org/proj…
