Harvest is complete for the OSU Wheat Variety Trials. Results for most of the sites are posted at wheat.okstate.edu.
Very interesting to see the differences among varieties in response to intensive management. More results coming next week!

Most varieties have reached FHS. Varieties reported here with the earliest FHS date should be the first to monitor in commercial fields. Wheat that is grazed will likely reach FHS stage later than reported here.

The first hollow stem stage is a good indicator for when producers should remove cattle from wheat pasture.
Similar to previous years, we will monitor FHS occurrence in our wheat plots.
