Relief and ICDS materials recovered from TMC leaders’ homes in Sandeshkhali, locals claim Recovery of relief materials and ICDS supplies from several houses in Sandeshkhali triggered tension on Thursday, with local women alleging the items were hoarded at residences of Trinamool Congress leaders and workers. According to locals, the materials were recovered from houses in Bermajur-2 and Bermajur-1 areas. Women from the area reportedly led the recovery drive. The allegations are directed at Bermajur-2 TMC anchal president Shakti Raut. Locals also named Niranjan Patra, husband of panchayat member Pampa Patra, claiming ICDS materials were found at his house. In Bermajur-1, relief and ICDS supplies were allegedly recovered from the homes of TMC workers Ranjit Barui and Soma Barui, residents said. Police have not yet issued an official statement on the recoveries. The accused have not responded publicly to the allegations.
