52 seconds of Peter Ustinov and Dudley Moore improving opera will make the wind and rain disappear. My word this is good!!

Being in 🇮🇪 posed problems to me watching all of yesterday. However, I caught as much as I could and my word! The choirs, organists, pipers, bands and all other musicians were amazing. The organisation impeccable. We may have many problems but we do pageantry better than anyone!

You wouldn’t believe that those trebles have been back for less than a week. Extraordinary singing from @StPaulsChoir. And Chris Webb that took serious skills. Phenomenal.

Genuine question - what happens if the entire country decides not to pay their energy bills?

Home (and exhausted) from my 11th @EdingtonFest and I find it almost impossible to express how much I love this festival and place. I feel fortunate to witness such incredible music-making and to play a small part in making it possible. #Edders2022

A thought that never leaves me. In the 17th a Puritan named their child If-Christ-had-not-died-for-thee-thou-hadst-been-damned. He went by Nicholas you’ll be amazed to hear.

A fantastic school with a super Director of Music. It started me off on the teaching path with exactly this job 11 years ago and I find myself back there again this term. Do point people who might be interested in the right direction.

Ok twittersphere. Rejection. How do you deal with it? I mean I know it’s part of being a musician but it doesn’t seem to get any easier.

I will forever be grateful for the incredible education and opportunities that I was afforded at @CathedralSchool. Life-changing doesn’t even come close.
Great feature on being a chorister @countryandtown: ‘You are at the top of your game in a cathedral choir. You are one of the best professionals in the world at doing what you do... It’s like being an Olympic athlete when you’re 10. It shows you the art of the possible.’

Though this photo doesn’t do them justice, I am utterly delighted to have these 3 @KirstyM_Art prints framed for Christmas.

You can tell you’ve returned to teaching when you find a board marker lurking on your bedside table!

I beseech all my Oxford friends to sign this. The A level results are a scandal. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…

It is with great regret that the Director, Richard Pinel, has to announce the cancellation of the Edington Festival 2020 due to the ongoing situation. However, plans are afoot for a digital festival. To view a full statement please visit our website. edingtonfestival.org

Just left #ENOMask. Wow! What an extraordinary piece. Quite unlike anything else. @cbjmezzo & @KatieStevenson were sublime. Incredible.
