I refuse to accept that there is no mechanism in our political system to remove a corrupt government official. We may need to “prove” his corruption, but in Ford’s case, he’s given us PLENTY of options (greenbelt, Science Centre, Therme, Metrolinx, etc.)

Ontario police are literally the most corrupt in the world. They make Russia look like a walk in the park.

Because the court findings come with written reasons which enable public scrutiny, right. Not because the lawyers or the judiciary are inherently more trustworthy. We are all human and equal before the law, right?
When questions arise over the findings of a judicial process & those of police investigating police, I trust the court findings, not the OPP. thestar.com/news/gta/toronto…

Every mature adult in Canada knows that Don Cherry is NOT a good example to any of our Canadian youth. I don't care how old he is or what he did when he was a young hockey player. The persona he created was ignorant, racist, illiterate and abusive. The OOC is reserved for better

If you want your personal cell phone to be exempt from public disclosure… don’t conduct government business on it. The reason for these requests in the first place is the evidence that individuals in the premiers office and ministry were using personal emails and devices to discuss government business (specifically as it relates to the Greenbelt Scandal). Look, being a public figure is hard, and in many ways you lose privacy. But public service is also a privilege and comes with trade offs to privacy because transparency and accountability matter for the public. And if we accept the changes being made by the provincial government, a huge incentive to move sensitive conversations to private channels is the outcome. It just makes corruption an even easier than it has already become.
This is the admission. Premier Doug Ford - who was compelled by an Ontario court to turn over his cell phone records says "personal cellphones" should be exempt from public disclosure. globalnews.ca/news/11733205/…

NDP Leader Marit Stiles says Premier Doug Ford is trying to distract from the FOI issue by talking about booze at festivals and bear spray. "He's fighting pretty damn hard to hide those cell phone records and the people of Ontario have a right to know." #onpoli

Even if polls reveal massive distrust & disgust with Ford & his Clapping Seals, we're stuck with them for another 4 years. Grin & bear it & stiffen your resolve to work to dump him as soon as we have the chance. #DumpDoug #onpoli #NeverVoteConservative
Does this poll finally indicate that Ontario has woken up & realize that @fordnation & his PC government is the most corrupt gov seen in Ontario's history?

Just another ridiculous relaxation of alcohol laws to draw attention away from Ford's big failures. Don't be distracted, #DumpDoug. #onpoli #NeverVoteConservative.
NEW - The Ford government will soon allow Ontarians to bring their own alcoholic beverages to designated outdoor public events, 680 NewsRadio has exclusively learned. The BYOB move is one the government believes will save people money & boost tourism. toronto.citynews.ca/2026/03/…

They want us to look at this today so we're not looking at: - FOI legislation changes - school board takeover disasters - OSAP - jobs numbers - Science Centre - Convention Centre Island - Therme spa - ongoing Greenbelt RCMP investigation - SDF - etc. Mess everywhere. #onpoli

I’m counsel on this case and we have made it abundantly clear that the personal information of constituents etc are private and will not be disclosed. Yet the Premier keeps raising this bogus point to keep all of his govt calls secret. What is he trying to hide?

Reporters of @ColinDMello’s calibre do not say things like this without knowing they can back it up. Doug Ford is hiding something that Ontarians deserve to know.

Contrary to what the Premier says - this is NOT about constituency calls. This is about who has influence over Premier Doug Ford and whether his cell phone is used for unregistered lobbying. #onpoli

FOI request by Global news found Education Minister Lecce, like Ford, avoided his gov phone and only used his gov phone for only one minute while working on a #notwithstandingclause against 55,000 striking Cupe support workers that were fined $200 million a day.
Breaking. Ford admitted he changed freedom of information law to hide his cell phone records as Ford's cabinet had large stretches of inactivity on their gov phones including Sylvia Jones when for-profit-surgical-clinics opened with unprecedented profits.
