What happened at Optus wasn't a sophisticated attack.
We should not have a telecommunications provider in this country that has effectively left the window open for data of this nature to be stolen.

The @ACNC_gov_au should start setting standards for charity communication with public.
Some continuously send paper spam to donors (top of my mind @WIRESWildlife @FoodbankNSWACT) with no clear guidelines on how to opt out.
Lets lower the costs of fund-raising and stop it. #nfp

Another issue is follow up communications with fund-raising teams. Long story short, I need to follow up and have experienced a small number of charities that simply seemed impossible to reach (top of mm @OntheLineAus @ExpressionAus @mycausecomau). Unsure why.

Just saw @andrewprobyn describe the cancelled Attack Class submarine program as having been “over budget”. This is false - As Greg Moriarty defence Dept secretary confirmed in Senate Estimate. As the ABC celebrates its 90th anniversary such sloppy reporting is very disappointing

TBH, it was such a random found that we never investigated the crash dump nor RCE potential. Ended up reporting as a DoS.
How I found it? We were deploying an IDS appliance & I was trolling my peers with hping2 🤣

#Budget2022 is a joke. Even the #cybersecurity investment is fluff. 4.2b announced but just 588.7m is new money (split over 4 years!) Rest comes from existing defence budget.
