A great day from start to finish at the @AllLearnersMath conference at @KillingtonMtn. Engaging teachers with math games, extending some favorite games to middle school and tipping it all off thinking deeply about math with @frantoon57. #Math4All

“The” standard algorithm treats 18x25 and 374x57 the same. Just ignore the beauty and structure of mathematics, it says. Don’t ask kids how they think about it, it says.

They happy buzz of teachers playing learning together. Great turnout of teachers interested in playing more games and making games accessible to all. Happy to be back in @KillingtonMtn for @ATMNE_math first VT conference since 2013! #fallinlovewithmath

Happy to see @nekvt honored at #atmne2022. Her impact is far and wide and super personal to my own journey in math education. So many students and teachers have benefited from her work!

Found a new like minded math teacher at @mooreintomath's discussion on subitizing with upper elementary kids. It always impresses me how much fun a room if adults can have with subitizing. #atmne2022

Ready for #ATMNE2022. Come talk about games with me! I can talk about math games all day but I am very proud of the hands on workshop I put together! Having a later in the day time slot really challenged me to come up with my most engaging workshop to date!

Celebrating @RobynNewtonPE as she is awarded VT teacher of the year. So great to be all together celebrating the master of direct instruction, the friendly face, the advocate and the one who does so much for our school and community. #teacher

Never thought I'd see so many people so excited about open house! Great to have families back in our building. Kids were excited to show their families their classroom, and last year's classroom and the one before that.

TKD sparring class tonight. #udl at its best. Ages 7-70 beginners to 3rd degree black belts all working on being faster, louder, more confident. Opportunities to work with others more advanced, less advanced and at our level. Everyone's needs get met!

We have a baker's dozen of under used balance scales. What are your favorite ways to use these engaging tools to build high leverage math concepts in K-6 classrooms? #mtbos #iteach
