I’ve just been provided with the latest Top 10 rankings. As suspected @CleyBirds has hit 600 with BOU/IRBC species list. Lee has temporarily dropped out and Malcolm has replaced him.
This could all change if any of the UK400 species get upgraded with BOU or IRBC.

Steve Gantlett has actually seen 620 species of bird in Britain and Ireland and he reached that magical milestone many years ago. Pretty sure I sent him a Certificate shortly after he met that goal. The Top 10 published here is extremely inaccurate

Finally got in on the Red-backed Shrike invasion with this smart male along the coast path at Stiffkey this pm. I was walking along, scanning the bushes, thinking I might finally just find one when a dog walker coming the other way told me there was one round the next corner!

I’ve just been told that when my brother passed away on the M50 on Friday that several cars stopped and people sat around him until the ambulance came so he wasn’t alone, i really want to find them if people can please share 🤍

A huge thanks to @vikingoptical for fixing and servicing my @KowaOptics TSN-99a so quickly. I dropped it off at their Suffolk branch on Monday and had it back full repaired in less than 4 days. Great comms and service throughout! Even got a free notebook and pen 😀 Thanks guys!
