Heute erscheint mein neues Buch. Ein Buch, von dem ich mir gewünscht hätte, dass ich es nie schreiben muss. Vor Jahren sagte mir ein Berliner Polizist einen Satz, den ich nie vergessen habe: „𝐖𝐢𝐫 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝.“ Damals hielt ich das für Frust – doch heute bin ich mir nicht mehr sicher. Über Jahre habe ich mit Polizistinnen und Polizisten in ganz Deutschland gesprochen. Mit Menschen, die nachts zu Messerangriffen fahren. Die Clankriminalität bekämpfen.Die Gewalt erleben, über die viele nur in den Nachrichten lesen. Und ich habe immer wieder ähnliche Sätze gehört: „Die Statistiken erzählen nicht die ganze Wahrheit.“ „Die Politik hat den Bezug zur Realität verloren.“ „Die Lage ist ernster, als die meisten glauben.“ Und irgendwann stellte ich mir selbst eine Frage: Darf man darüber überhaupt noch offen sprechen? Als Journalistin kann es darauf nur 𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐞 Antwort geben. 𝐉𝐚, 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐬 𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐮𝐧! Ich weiß dass dieses Buch Kritik auslösen wird. Ich weiß, dass manche versuchen werden, mich in eine politische Ecke zu stellen. Aber was wäre die Alternative gewesen? Schweigen? Wegschauen? So tun, als hätten mir all diese Menschen etwas anderes erzählt? Dieses Buch ist mein Versuch, denjenigen eine Stimme zu geben, die jeden Tag für unseren Rechtsstaat den Kopf hinhalten. Und jetzt interessiert mich eure Meinung: Werden die Probleme in Deutschland offen genug diskutiert – oder gibt es Themen, über die wir lieber schweigen? 👇
