The results of the tranexamic acid (TxA) arm of the @POISE3_ANZ #RCT have been published in @NEJM.
The trial definitely showed the benefits of using TxA in non-cardiac surgery patients. Read our press release:

Translation of our results will be very important @POISE3_ANZ
All major surgical procedures do not lead to significant blood risks so need to choose TXA wisely (if bleeding risk is significant enough or microhemostasis is a problem etc.) These risks are multi factorial.
