Hosted a launch event for my startup in Seoul! Was a HUGE success. When I moved to Korea in September, I had no idea what the next few months would look like. I just started having conversations with as many cool english-speaking people I could find. Quickly learned there was a lack of community for english-speaking founders, creators, and young professionals and decided to found K-Bridge. I thought I'd be presenting to ~20 new friends but more than 60 people ended up attending. What a way to end 2025! Many thanks to my X friends who supported 🙏 @lucas_chae @HarryShin16 @thesoheekim @joshuahypark @TimothyIm5 @harpriiya

I was listening to @tyger_cho’s podcast with @EricJorgenson (big fan of his work) During the podcast, Erik brought up the notion of ‘lost years’ “The more peoples stories you study the more you see there is always a period of time unless you dig, it’s not obvious that the person was working on their craft, but if you know the story well anything that looks like an overnight success was not.” I loved hearing his story of working at a startup for almost 10 years before writing The Almanack of Naval. He talked about starting a project called Evergreen and how instrumental it was to honing his craft as a writer and meeting people that played an instrumental role in his books success. It made me reflect on my own projects like Deal Bridge, 535 or my monthly newsletters Each one has been a meaningful step in sharpening my craft

I built "Duolingo for Goals" Our brains aren't wired for massive goals - we get overwhelmed, lose focus, and quit. So I built an AI coach that breaks ANY goals into daily micro-tasks.

hi twitter friends 👋 Last week, my friend @lucas_chae graciously filmed my presentation at the K-Bridge launch event I held in Seoul. Wanted to share here for everyone that's been following my journey! Unfortunately (due to my oversight), the audio quality drops off around the 7-minute mark. However, the subtitles should help. I also posted on YouTube :) youtube.com/watch?v=MsLCmEGk… Many thanks to everyone who was able to come and support. More to come in 2025!

Bay Area friends: My new friend @gnwoo_park is one of the most interesting young minds I've met. Right now, his X account is unknown but I imagine that will soon change... He's visiting the Bay Area until the 29th and looking to meet ambitious and interesting people. Please watch his video and reach out if you're around!
Hey San Francisco!👋 I’m a @imperialcollege CS student interested in Creator Economy! I’m looking to connect with like-minded people while I’m around (~29th Dec)

Got to chat in-depth with @tyger_cho on his podcast The Idea Exchange. Tyger was a super thoughtful interviewer and we went deep on: How I accidentally stumbled upon a problem and got investment to start a company from Jason Calacanis without a single line of code written). Struggles with fundraising and scaling (we just closed a $1.6M pre-seed round) The fact that the more impressive startups I worked with, the less likely I thought it would be that I'd be able to start one myself (seeing how hard it is even when founders are brilliant and things are going "well") My existential dread of finding out if River is beautiful tarpit — something that everyone badly wants to exist, but is unclear if it can be a $100M ARR business. Give it a listen and share your feedback!

I started following @raechellambert last year. Her startup (River) caught my eye b/c it was solving a problem I saw coming up often. In starting my own digital community (K-Bridge), it has become increasingly clear to me that these audience -> IRL meetup services have serious potential... Was a lot of fun to host her on the pod. We talk about: - Founding River via @theallinpod meetups - Securing funding from @Jason & @balajis - Raising $1.6m Pre-Seed Round Full interview below 👇👇👇

Hit 1,000 days of gym 🙂 Climbed a mountain (인왕산) to memorialize the feat! When I started the gym streak in 2022, I didn't think I'd keep this up for over 2 years... (I also never imagined I'd be in Seoul for day 1,000!) The best thing about the streak has been learning others have started their own. Knowing how difficult 1,000 days has been, it's hard to imagine I go for another thousand. But who knows! Big s/o to @lucas_chae for joining the day 1,000 hike 🙏 Exciting times ahead :)

Wild to learn how different education is in Korea. The school system is so intense and all-consuming. You feel when you walk into cafes and public spaces. Everyone's studying all the time... So grateful to have started podcasting before my Seoul move. Been the best way for me to learn about culture. Still so bullish on conversation. Full episode 👇👇👇
