I was chatting with a buddy a while back. He's one of the smartest people I've ever met. He's a lawyer that runs a huge firm but outsources a ton & crushes fatherhood/health/life too. His wife started a fitness coaching business a few years ago & I asked how it was doing. GREAT! So much better than I ever imagined he said. Awesome, how much is she bringing in I asked...... Oh, no between the equipment, home gym, her website, etc etc WE LOSE AROUND 30k a year..... I was so perplexed at first but he explained: He made 7 figures a year. •His wife was now in the best shape of her life at 45. •She was so fulfilled helping others get healthy she was on fire day to day. Their sex life was never better. •Instead of shopping she was training & actually the 30k a year saved them money. I've since wondered how many businesses don't have the primary goal of turning a profit.

This tweet is glorious & perfect! I'll say it again like I said almost 4 years ago in a tweet, I DON'T CARE HOW DISCIPLINED YOU ARE, NO ONE CAN RESIST FREE CHIPS N SALSA AT A MEXICAN RESTAURANT! x.com/tyromper/status/157923…

USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving. Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free. I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these." "They just come with the table, man." They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner. This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat. I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared. "Did we…?" "Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless." Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined. My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude." Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man. I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy. Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived. I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most. Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.

This is what people like Elizabeth (Karen) Warren are either too stupid or too evil to talk about. One guy isn't HOARDING a trillion dollars in some vault so no one else has access to it. He employs 160,000 people. He's made more millionaires than anyone. We need more ELONS creating & less bureaucrat WARRENS whining. We all know Elon made his fortune by creating value in the private sector. How did she get tens of millions of dollars working in the public sector? I freaking love stories like these because this is how LIFE can work if you're not a perpetual victim...... WE CAN ALL WIN!!!! No one can stop you but you.
“He's now teaching his three kids, including his 16-year-old daughter, how to invest based on what he learned owning SpaceX stock. His daughter is already a stakeholder in Meta and a handful of other companies.  If given the chance to talk to Musk, Hernandez said he'd thank him for helping him realize a dream he didn't know he had. ‘He made it a possibility for somebody like us, you know, the cook or … electrician. He's making all these lives much better and meaningful for their families as well."

The economy doesn't suck. Social media doesn't suck. Your spouse doesn't suck. Other people don't suck. Your boss doesn't suck. Parenting doesn't suck. Your job doesn't suck. School doesn't suck. Traffic doesn't suck. There's one thing that sucks if you always feel this way..... YOUR MINDSET & habits. Good news, you're only stuck if you choose to be.

Spent hours this morning with my youngest son. Taught him to steer the go-cart & he drove completely on his own (while on my lap). We tended the garden, picked raspberries & cherries, raced from spot to spot & had a blast. My hearts full. ❤️

The OLD American dream: •Stressed out “important” office job. •Climbing the endless corporate ladder. •Luxury cars (only 67 more payments & you’ll own it!) •Huge house filled with stuff. (Only 267 more payments & you'll own it! •Always busy, stressed out, & anxious. The NEW American dream: •Fit & healthy. •Content & grateful. •Calm nervous system. •Home full of laughter, love & peace. •Lives below means & passive income. •Money buys freedom of time & location. By the time you’re 18 you’ll have seen 100,000 commercials PROGRAMMING you what happiness looks like. Unlearn it. Discover what it means for you & run full speed towards it & apologize to no one for it!

Who wore their kids better today?! Elon Musk on trillionaire space X IPO day? @tyromper on pull-up & family park day? Wealth advantage: Musk. Strength advantage: Tyler. Intelligence advantage: Musk. Agility & speed advantage: Tyler. Pretty even contest between two men doing their best to help humanity thrive in their own way. Who ya got?!! Pretty crazy Elon & are worth a combined $1,100,002,000,000 dollars & have a combined 240,350,000 followers!! The two of us combined dwarf the next two richest guys together. They are so poor they are only worth a combined $591,000,000,000. Only 12 figures......pathetic really.

Look for opportunities to WIN!!! See what NORMAL people are doing & if you want massive success, DO THE OPPOSITE! Normal people arrive 2 hours before a flight: •Sit on their phones & scroll. •Buy $7 candy bars & $11 chips & gorge. The AVERAGE person is overweight, on many meds, & averages 4-6k steps a day. I've walked 7,500 steps with my 20lb backpack done 25 flights of these stairs & drank 4 full waters. I'll be 43 this year am on 0 meds & average 18,000 steps a day. If you want to end up like most others then do what most others do...... Nothing terrifies me as much as AVERAGE.

Chatted with a great buddy this morning & he has A LOT of Space X at $4/share!! So happy for him & his family!!! He's a great dad, awesome guy, fit as a fiddle & absolute winner! The crazy thing about all the weirdos whining that ELON shouldn't be so rich is he employs over 160,000 people! He's done more for green energy than anyone. He's providing internet all over the globe, & is making us multi planetary! He's made more millionaires than every politician combined. Society needs SUPER RICH people innovating, building & pushing us forward! Wealth isn't a zero sum game. Elon being rich does 1,000,000x for humanity than him paying more taxes so politicians can funnel it back to themselves thru more wars, NGO's & scams. "Envy was once considered to be one of the seven deadly sins before it became one of the most admired virtues under its new name, "social justice." -Thomas Sowell

Today's workout for me: •80 pull-ups with my sons. •Assisted pull-ups for them. •Sprints (races) in between sets. We will walk, explore, play at parks & log 15-20k steps today. No PRs were set, but this was one of my favorite workout days ever! ❤️💪 No zeroes. Just keeping showing up. Do your best & smile like my son.

I had a chance to sit down with Demis Hassabis to discuss his goal of solving intelligence and using it to help cure all disease. But what I found most compelling wasn't the scale of the mission, but @demishassabis himself. His level of focus is extraordinary. We talked about the personal cost of pursuing a mission this ambitious, and the tension between the two sides of his work: the CEO of a commercial entity and the scientist driven by a humanitarian vision. It was an absolutely fascinating conversation, and a deep honor to speak with one of the most important minds of our time. Thank you to the @GoogleDeepMind team for having me. Be loyal to your future, Not your past. Life moves FORWARD & so should you. It's ok to reflect from time to time, but don't stay stuck in the past it's already written. Your future can be anything you're willing to work to create! Dream big. Write out a plan. Give up everything in your way. Go crush it my friend!!! No one can stop you but you!

I just spent 6 days with my wife & NO KIDS. Super grateful for my folks keeping all 3 of our kiddos so we could get this time. Husbands, if at all possible create time for you & your wife without kids. It's awesome being MAN & WIFE not just mom & dad. We had so much fun together!! My cheeks hurt from laughing so much & when I pee it goes sideways. Both signs of a fantastic time together!! Grateful. 🔥🙏❤️

SCHOOL IS NOT FOR BOYS. When my son was 4 we enrolled him at Montessori school. Their mission statement is: "To cultivate the "whole child" by providing a prepared, stimulating environment that fosters independent thought, self-directed learning, & a lifelong love of education." My son is all BOY. We were assured this would be a great environment for him & he could roam & play a lot! A week in they pull my wife aside to say he isn't sitting still in the circle during reading & art times...... how long are those my wife asks? 45 minutes each. He's also not sitting quietly during other times too they scolded. You want our 4 year old boy sitting quietly for 45 straight minutes multiple times a day???? WHY? And if so you had better run him through an hour of tough cardio, sprints, & relay races first! It kept escalating the next few weeks until we heard similar..... he needs meds, can't sit still, too aggressive. We pulled him out. School isn't for BOYS. Only in academia is LOW ENERGY valued & HIGH energy curiosity demonized. Our young boys aren't broken. Our schools are broken & failing them.
My son is three years old. For the past two weeks he’s been at a summer camp a few hours a day. The teachers have complained to my wife three times already. Here’s what they reported: He pushed another kid. He didn’t sit still when told to. He tried to leave the room when they said no. He can’t stand in line. I’m not exaggerating. Grown adults pulled my wife aside, three times, to report that a three-year-old acts like a three-year-old. They warned her that if he doesn't change his behavior then he can't continue attending the camp. Maybe we should medicate him. Fix the defect of being a small boy with energy and a will. He won’t be going back. I don’t want people like this anywhere near my son. A civilization that pathologizes a toddler for refusing to sit in a line can't raise men willing to stand and defend it.
