These are very different things. Wrapped tokens with smart contracts on both ends are not the same thing as forking a blockchain and transferring the balances.
Seems like the old guard of Tezos will do anything to prevent progress and the complain about lack of progress.

I'm very excited to help the @TezosFoundation through its next phase of growth. I'm starting my academic sabbatical year and have new projects around climate change that need long-term credit systems. The potential for Tezos/proof-of-stake/distributed governance here is enormous.

When I sold 75% of my @tezos $XTZ at ~$1.70 after yet more drama from the founders & Foundation, & bought $CEL, someone chastised me for selling "a real project & buying sh!tcoins". I have the last laugh - all the way to the #UnBank.
