Executive Director at The Nature Conservancy in New York (@nature_ny), husband, father, city and wilderness lover, and proud New Yorker. Opinions are my own.
What an honor to welcome everyone and introduce both Onondaga Faith keeper Oren Lyons and UB President Satish Tripanthi in Buffalo at last night’s opening of the Conservancy’s Voice, Choice & Action global gathering on working with Indigenous partners.
Great hike yesterday with colleagues at Lisha Kill Preserve near Albany. It is one of the Conservancy’s most visited preserves nationally, with over 30k visitors annually. A beautiful and special place that’s just out the back door.
Neighbors got together this weekend to plant flowers in our tree beds. Reminds us to take care of the trees that take care of us. #urbanforest#citytrees
It was so great to (re)connect with Conservancy colleagues in the Santo Domingo office today. I am excited and impressed with their leadership on climate change and the role nature plays in all our lives — in one of my favorite countries in the world!
This is a truly remarkable and important accomplishment for all New Yorkers — current and future! New York continues to help lead the nation on climate and conservation solutions that give us hope and remind us of the difference we can make.

Huge shout-out to New York voters for approving Prop 1: the #NYBondAct!

Nature has been telling us for years that🌏is in trouble. This is just another stark reminder. At #COP27 and #COP15 it is time for world leaders to act. I am optimistic that when we come together, we will find a way for adaptation, finance, and nature. unep.org/resources/emissions…
