This circus has been going on since 2020, and then it definitely took a big leap in 2024. When will all this end?

What if he put a bottle in the jersey front?
Pas de sanction pour l'abri prolongé dans l'aspiration de sa voiture d'équipe ? Mais non bien sûr ! Pas Paul.

In fairness: he’s a clown who should stick to kermesses. Next lap’s prize is a case of Amstel!

Just ban them outright, not needed to race at all.
The UCI has announced a new set of rules targeting the maximum size of cycling GPS units (for real). I dig into why, why it's (mostly) dumb, and what it means for today's units: dcrainmaker.com/2026/06/maxi…

Don’t hate the player… But: give races back the choice whom they want in their race so they can decide whether they care about loyalty.
Michael Valgren and James Shaw will not start stage 19 of the Giro d’Italia. Both riders have given a huge amount to the team over the past weeks and we are proud of the way they have raced. With several riders already sidelined through injury this season, and with Michael and James both essential to our goals this summer, we have made the decision to prioritize their health, recovery, and preparation for the important block of racing ahead. We have enormous respect for the Giro and will keep fighting all the way to Rome.

The Giro is a discount: race to use when convenient and then abandon. Maybe it’s time to change the jersey slogan of Valgren: “Education First. Values Second.”

If running wouldn’t be funded by Big Sneakers, flats would be mandatory at the races. It’s a shame that the one sport that has had no barrier of entry has come to this charade.
These look incredible for running a marathon or half marathon more efficiently. Wouldn’t wear them for much else. $500 though 😳

3rd time pros just ahead of amateurs at GPNYC and GFNY - still unique in the world but the momentum is speeding up. We’re planning the same for Cozumel in November and bank on other organizers to follow suit.

Exactly this. They’re not “all at it so it’s a level playing field”. The ones who refuse are the ones you have never heard of. I knew a “Jean”. Top 5 at amateur worlds, pro contract ready to sign. Walked away.

It’s a race if they are noting times and rankings. If it was just a fun run, no times would be published.

An average male swimmer is more important and must be heard over an actual Olympic Champion- shame on @TedTalks.

.@TEDTalks cancelled my talk about women’s rights conflicting with men like this, as soon as it was announced. @TEDTalks platformed him. @TEDTalks de-platformed me. I’m an Olympic champion; I have lived experience of sport. I’m a civil rights lawyer & author; w expertise on women’s rights. I’ve taught Sports Law for 20 years. It’s galling. x.com/Jonnywsbell/status/205…
