Every day we stray further from God's grace.
We are excited to share a mechanical ventilator simulator built in Excel! It models VC, PC, PS, APRV, and SIMV ventilation with real-time waveforms for airway pressure, flow, volume, esophageal pressure, transpulmonary pressure, and alveolar pressure. societymechanicalventilation…

The United States Senate used the same gavel from 1789 until 1954. It was finally broken by then–Vice President Richard Nixon during a particularly heated debate over nuclear energy.
Community note
The Senate's original gavel from 1789 was broken by Nixon in 1954, but it was a handleless, hourglass-shaped piece of ivory, not a courtroom-style gavel as shown in this photo. senate.gov/about/traditio…

The exceedingly rare Ann Coulter "W"
Airlines have a tiny profit margin in a wildly volatile industry -- most make the majority of their money on credit cards. Much like railroads, we need airlines in a transcontinental nation. This isn't an ordinary product going bankrupt because of bad management. Also it was the government that blocked Spirit's merger with Jetblue, then hiked fuel prices with a pointless war. We could rescue Spirit, and subsidize all airlines, if taxpayers weren't being bilked for $15 BILLION a year for the feds to run airport security, which they FAIL at.

Nothing infuriates an uninformed Congressional Dem more than when they realize they voluntarily triggered a debate with someone who actually knows what they are talking about, reads federal statute and adheres to Supreme Court precedent. Today’s self-implosion by @rosadelauro was quite remarkable to witness. Without apology or regret, I will always adhere to the best available reading of federal statute pursuant to the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Loper Bright.

Do not buy watches from PG at auction
The watchmaker hands a watch back to me, having determined that it can't be repaired: Watchmaker: My advice is to sell it at auction. Me: I bought it in an auction. Watchmaker: You and seventeen other people. That's what happens with these watches.

My doctor should give me whatever drugs I want. My doctor should prescribe me diet and exercise. My doctor should be my best friend. I should be able to call my doctor at home. My doctor should be there at my wedding. Sometimes it feels like my doctor doesn't even love me
