We are the voice of progressives in Congress. Fighting for working families over corporate interests. Advancing racial and social justice. Working for peace.
June is Gun Violence Awareness Month, and that’s why I’m proud to #WearOrange and stand with my colleagues against this epidemic in our country. We can start by taking steps to pass concrete legislation like @RepLucyMcBath’s GOSAFE Act to ban dangerous gas-powered assault weapons and keep our communities safe.
Our immigration courts are taking so long that people are being held hostage while they wait to see a judge or get an appeal. As people—even those with lawyers—wait in ICE detention centers, they are suffering and sometimes losing their lives.
Today, I’m wearing orange to promote gun violence awareness. This is a public health crisis, and I am committed to finding bipartisan, commonsense solutions to make our communities safe. We can make a difference!

Too many communities have been forever changed by gun violence — including Louisville.
During Gun Violence Awareness Month, we wear orange to honor the friends, loved ones, and neighbors we've lost to gun violence.
We can and must do more to prevent these tragedies.
Pursuing a more progressive tax system is a start, but it’s not the end when it comes to ensuring the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share.
We need to be taxing wealth.
Only Congress can declare war. Invading Iran’s Kharg Island would be brazenly unconstitutional.
American troops would die during the invasion. And then every day Iran would try to kill more American troops on Kharg Island.
Senate must pass the House’s War Powers Resolution.
After all this talk about a supposed deal, Trump is threatening to hit Iran “very hard" and take control of their oil.
This is exactly why the House passed a bipartisan resolution to stop this illegal war. ENOUGH.
Americans marched and bled and died for the right to form a union.
This week the House passed the Faster Labor Contracts Act — one step towards making that right real for all workers.
Republicans want to send ICE another $70 billion. With that money, we could:
- Pay for two years of free childcare for over 1 million kids
- Extend the ACA premium tax credits by at least a year
- Cancel 1/3 of Americans' medical debt
Abolish ICE. Invest in working Americans.
I am honored to join the House Foreign Affairs Committee! I’d like to thank @RepJeffries and @RepGregoryMeeks for their trust in my appointment. I look forward to using my position to fight for human rights and repair our reputation on the national stage.
I will also continue to serve on the House Appropriations Committee.
We are witnessing corruption like we have never seen before under President Trump.
I’m laying out the facts on this administration's blatant corruption. See the full list here: delauro.house.gov/CorruptDon
Teenagers, toddlers, & babies have been abducted & taken to Dilley.
And Republican & their private prison corporation friends are profiting from the pain of child abuse, child neglect, & childhood trauma.
We must close Dilley & end this state-inflicted trauma.
Our Epstein investigation is still ongoing. This week, we're talking to Lesley Groff and Bill Gates.
And we are going to keep talking to anyone with information about Epstein's crimes and those who were in his orbit. The survivors deserve justice.
Republicans just passed the Big Slush Act—a slush fund for more ICE cruelty and a rubber stamp on Trump’s $1.8B taxpayer-funded slush fund to reward January 6 rioters who assaulted police. My remarks opposing:
Why has DOJ not prosecuted more crimes in the Epstein Case?
That is a good question! And why it is essential that DOJ release the files—even if it takes a court order. And, thus is why @KatiePhang’s lawsuit is so important.
Today, our ongoing investigation in Oversight continues—with a Bill Gates interview. Stay tuned for more! In the meantime you can watch our full interview with Katie on the case here: youtu.be/C4HpJX2Owms
