I started @DellTech from a dorm room @UTAustin, and it shaped everything that followed. Building Dell showed me what’s possible when a company grows alongside a top-tier research university in a city that fuels new ideas.
For more than 25 years, Susan and I have partnered with UT on nearly 200 projects to expand educational opportunity, advance research, reinvent medical education, and strengthen life in Austin. Today, we’re making a new commitment to help build what comes next in health and life sciences — bringing our total giving to UT to more than $1 billion.
We’re excited about what this will make possible for people in Austin, across Texas, and far beyond for generations to come. 🤘

Five researchers at UT Austin are bridging engineering and public policy to study how carbon capture could work as a full system.
The team, spanning @CockrellSchool and @TheLBJSchool, is creating a research road map to find better carbon capture processes. The collaboration was supported by an Incubator planning grant from UT’s Office of the Vice President for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors.

Congrats to UT Austin’s @INFORMS student chapter on receiving the 2025 Magna Cum Laude Annual Award! This award reflects the @ut_orie chapter’s strong involvement throughout the 2024–2025 academic year, which included hosting research seminars and social events.
Congratulations to my student Donghao Liu for successfully defending his dissertation in @ut_orie! 🤘🎓
It's been a pleasure to co-supervise Donghao with Prof. Jon Bard. Donghao is a whiz at developing algorithms to solve difficult (integer/stochastic) #optimization problems!
UT Austin’s acquisition of 4,000 NVIDIA GPUs and high-performance Dell PowerEdge servers marks another major investment in our research infrastructure, accelerating discovery across the Forty Acres and powering innovations for Texas and the nation.
