hi I'm angry and I'm just going to vent a little from now on, fuck being nice to the maga right, especially its political leaders and its communicators, who have poisoned the right wing media landscape and tricked a huge amount of people into believing their lies I'm officially done with this idea that literally the entire political spectrum should be blaming the left for everything "they're only like that because the left is so divisive" oh I'm sorry but have you, at the very least in your head, quantified this divisiveness among the political leaders and pundits within each camp, and made a quantitative analysis on where this issue is a bigger problem? oh yeah no you haven't, because you literally don't care. a leftist college student seemed annoying in a tiktok/twitter/facebook video you saw, and now your entire political world view is about ensuring trump gets elected the maga right is either violently ignorant, or, they don't care about truth, they don't care about democracy, they clearly don't care about "biased media", they don't care about rule of law, they don't care about the working class, they don't care about the economy, they barely even care about the border, they don't care about a fair and balanced supreme court, and of course, they don't care about gaza, they don't care about immigrants, they don't care about asylum seekers, they don't care about women's rights, they don't care about education, they don't care about the safety of their elections they also don't care about how trump incited an insurrection, they don't care that trump plotted a coup to overthrow the 2020 election, they don't care that eastman worked to get a fake slate of electors to overturn the democratic will of the people, they don't care about anything trump said on jan 6 apart from the one part where he said "march peacefully", after which he was sitting on his ass watching fox news coverage of the insurrection, while his phone and his surroundings were getting filled with people, including his own family, including right wing pundits, begging him to call it off, as he did nothing about it, for three fucking hours they also don't care that the republican stacked supreme court gave presidents criminal immunity. what happened to not have anyone be above the law? didn't you care about that? you know, no kingmaking and all that? nope, who cares, just say something like "presidents have always acted as though they've been criminally immune, they just codified it", which, is not true, but, remember, they don't care about truth, so, it doesn't matter :) I wonder if they care about the fact that the dominion lawsuit had leadership at fox admit to *knowingly* lying to the people about voter fraud, and right before the opening statements was about to begin, they decided to settle for $787.5 million, the largest defamation settlement in U.S. history, by the way, because they knew they were clearly in the wrong. But of course they don't care, just say even fox news is biased and move on. just say fox news isn't the "real" right, only trump is, and various alternate media figures whose podcasts they enjoy the maga right doesn't care about fucking anything, but getting trump elected again, and having someone in the white house who's funny and "tells it like it is" I can point to evidence backing up *every single claim* I've made about trump, but the thing is, it literally doesn't matter, and that's the real problem they construct their own truths to ensure that trump is a good guy no matter what. whatever we say, there's a conspiracy answer with no evidence to back it up this, by the way, is the difference between an echo chamber and living a bubble if you live in a bubble? you're just a little ignorant, you just haven't been exposed to the rest of the world, and you could have your mind changed if you were just exposed to more experiences, people, and facts if you live in an echo chamber? you have an answer that rejects any information coming in from the outside. whatever institution finds, you can reject it by saying they are biased, whether it's the courts or the government or the "elites" or whatever else you want to blame it on the right will, of course, dismiss me as being an unhinged leftist, when I'm not even in the far left, I've always been pretty solidly a progressive liberal, but I suppose to the maga right, these words don't matter, or mean anything the right will, of course, dismiss me as being the one who's in an echo chamber, even though I've gone out of my way to consume media across the political spectrum, and having listened to a ton of debate between the left and the right, having read through supreme court rulings, and gone out of my way to represent their opinions accurately and gone out of my way to try and understand, to try and be empathetic and you know what you get in return? maga will have the exact same opinions as before, they will shit on LGBT people and immigrants just as much as before, and hey even some people on the left will shit on you for trying to understand people on the right, because on the left, people actually do try to hold each other accountable like, there has to be accountability for lying, there has to be accountability for blatantly anti-democratic behavior, especially if you're the president but right now there is *none* of that on the political right, and anyone who says "but both sides" to this are, at best, woefully ignorant disinformation is slowly destroying us all, and all we do is blame the left, while the left is trying to figure out how to be nicer to the right so that the right won't get upset again, while the right is rapid firing propaganda in every single direction without consequence sigh okay I think I'm done thank you and/or I'm sorry

BREAKING: In newly obtained tape, then-Rep. Tim Walz tells a gold-star family during hearing on PTSD that he was deployed to Afghanistan in 2004 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and says he and his troops suffering from mental health issues were “shown the horse whisperer and told to go be nice”

One of the many extremely appealing things about Walz is that he doesn’t appear to have had a grand plan to take over the universe. He appears to have gone into politics because he likes helping people, and risen because he’s really good at that. What a concept!

My favorite part is when RFK Jr. who was raised in exclusive Kennedy compounds & went to Harvard says “I guess it’s a bit of the redneck in me” then describes a scenario that can only occur in the life of a scion of one of our weirdest & most cursed political dynasties.

There is one story. We elect someone who supports women's rights or someone who is cool w/ the Handmaid's Tale. Someone who believes in climate change or someone who will let the planet fry. Someone who believes in the peaceful transfer of power or a wanna-be oligarch. One story.
