Cone Peak, South Coast Ridge, Los Burros (Willow Creek), & Plaskett Ridge roads are CLOSED. If you're planning an overnight trip to #bigsur you'll need-
1) a reservation at an official campground.
OR
2) backcountry camping preparedness.

We've been bracing for a temporary District-wide closure & unfortunately, it's here. According to @LosPadresNF, Monterey Ranger District roads and trails are closed to the public until June 1. Check the LPNF website for particulars.

Good news if you don’t enjoy cold camping- the @LosPadresNF reduced fire restrictions on 12/02. As always, a CA #campfirepermit Google it) is required for #stove or #campfire use. Please be safe, use only existing fire rings (don’t build new ones) & #leavenotrace !

Effective immediately, the @LosPadresNF has imposed Extreme Fire Restrictions. This means NO STOVES, NO SMOKING, & NO CAMPFIRES in the backcountry until further notice so please plan accordingly.
