What a warm welcome back! :) @vicdotso and I have been working on this for a long time. Incredibly thankful for his devotion to this project, and for his taste. And THANK YOU if you're trying Interpreter right now and submitting feedback! ❤️
Today I'm launching Interpreter. It's a desktop agent that can fill PDFs, edit your Excel and Word docs, and learn new skills. Runs offline, works with any model, and it's free.

I just realized - you can also tell Claude to 'pbcopy' information when done so you don’t have to manually copy text. - ask Claude to always set run_in_background to true when running subagents to dramatically reduce rendering flicker

Advent of Claude Day 1 - The ! Prefix Don't waste tokens asking "can you run git status or tests?" Just type: ! followed by your bash command The ! prefix executes bash instantly and injects the output into context. No model processing. No delay. No wasted tokens.

Great write up, chuckled a few times. This alongside leerob and Mitchell Hashimoto's vibe coding posts really drives home: engineering practices domain knowledge = dramatically better agent output in large codebases. These tools are genuinely powerful when you meet them halfway. Worth asking yourself: Is this code just for me? User-facing? What error margin is acceptable? Is someone else reading this?
Weekend thoughts on Gas Town, Beads, slop AI browsers, and AI-generated PRs flooding overwhelmed maintainers. I don't think we're ready for our new powers we're wielding. lucumr.pocoo.org/2026/1/18/a…

I attribute all the shortcomings in my life to learning PHP in college. It did irreversible damage.
