Celtic Fans For The Liberation Of Palestine (CFLP) has released a statement opposing the potential appointment of Robbie Keane as Celtic FC's new manager:
“As Celtic fans, we oppose the proposed appointment of Robbie Keane as manager of Celtic Football Club.
Celtic supporters have a long and proud history of solidarity with the Palestinian people. For us, Robbie Keane’s decision to manage Maccabi Tel Aviv during the genocide in Gaza is impossible to ignore. To choose to manage a club in Israel while, less than 40 miles away, the same country was using indiscriminate weapons of mass murder against a defenceless people is unconscionable.
Celtic was founded by a community shaped by the legacy of genocide, displacement and famine. Our club’s roots lie in solidarity with those who suffered injustice and oppression. We cannot forget where we came from, nor turn our backs on those facing genocide today.
At a time when Celtic requires unity and collective purpose, this appointment would be deeply divisive among the support. It would also represent a predictable and uninspiring choice at a moment when greater ambition is needed.
We urge the Celtic board to listen to supporters’ concerns and reconsider this appointment.”

Has an average penalty conversion rate but has taken an abnormal amount of penalties in his time at Rangers, you replace the majority of his goals by getting an average penalty taker in.
The most successful optical illusion in the history of Scottish football. For 11 years they managed to drape a statistical cloak over a defender who, by any objective standard, has always been at best a lower-league journeyman playing for a club that exists in a protected vacuum.

5,000 Coventry City fans will get a free season ticket next season in the premier league, let me tell you how.
In 2023, Doug King, Coventry City owner, told 5,000 fans to buy the season ticket at a fixed rate of £500 across 5 seasons.
He promised them that if they promote within those 5 seasons, the premier league season ticket will be free for them.
For those 5 seasons, fans had to renew every year to keep the freeze and stay eligible. These ~5,000 fans will be watching every Premier League game at the CBS Arena for free next season.
I have praised the Sunderland Owner for his crazy vision for the club, that started paying off.
Doug King is just another visionary leader. This scheme was not to only reward LOYAL and committed fans, but also to encourage more fans to buy into the long term project of the club, which was to get back to the premier league.
Don’t forget that this scheme also meant that they were guaranteeing an upfront revenue which was a good business idea for a club that was recovering from lots of debts.
Coventry were in debts for a long time, in fact, they were sharing stadium with Northampton and Birmingham because they could not afford their stadium outrightly, lots of tenancy issues. Doug has sorted it and the stadium now belongs to them.
Doug also re-invested the money made from Gyokores and Gustavo Hamer back into the club. This has brought so much stability too.
The biggest call was sacking Mark Robins and appointing Frank Lampard. Mark Robins promoted them from League One to Championship, and also got them play offs final in 2023 where they lost against Luton. So, this was a big call sacking Mark and appointing Frank. It was criticised but it’s later paid off.

Aitor Zabaleta tifo displayed by Real Sociedad supporters at the Atlético Madrid match.
Zabaleta was an antifascist Sociedad supporter and was stabbed to death by Atlético Madrid’s neo nazi ultra. The murder was committed in 1998, but it still keeps its place in memories. Because Madrid far right supporters sang chants celebrating Zabaleta’s death throughout the day before today’s match and insulted him. That is why this was not just a visual show, but a message given from past to future: “We are always antifascist.”
