Women aren’t just holding back ideas at work.
They’re holding back their entire voice.
I’ve seen it too many times while building Pee Safe
Brilliant women softening sharp opinions. Adding “Sorry, Just My Two Cents” before sharing gold. Qualifying every bold thought with “Maybe I’m Wrong, But…....” Not because they lack confidence. But because the room has conditioned them to shrink.
Research backs this up, studies show women are far more likely to self-censor at work, especially in leadership roles, out of fear of being seen as “Too Aggressive” or “Difficult.”
That’s not just unfair.
It’s a massive loss for Teams, for Innovation, for Progress.
That’s exactly why we’re launching Unmute with Pee Safe. Because true empowerment isn’t only about feeling safe in public spaces about feeling safe to speak Loudly, Clearly, Unapologetically in every room.
As leaders (and as humans), we have one job this Women’s Day season:
Create spaces where women never feel the need to edit themselves. Where ambition comes without disclaimers. Where voices that have been muted for too long finally get turned up.
To every woman reading this (and to every ally):
* Your voice doesn’t need permission.
* Your ideas don’t need qualifiers.
* Your ambition is allowed to be loud.
Unmute it. Starting today.
