A story of change from my team, that each Residential Colony should adopt n do to their parks. A park that had less than 5% green cover in 2008, has 95% green cover in 2019, with increased water table, improved air quality n drop in temp. Congratulations @swechhaindia

Cockroach Janta Party should ensure that Judges are no more Lords, should also have strict HR rules and biometrics attendance system, and free access to hajmola so that gassing is from the right vent and in private loo moment.
CJP’s Five-Point Agenda for 2029 We call upon leaders of all opposition parties, their supporters, and social activists to stand behind our Five-Point Agenda. It doesn’t matter to us which party you belong to (except for BJP), if you want to save democracy, support #CJP2029

It’s totally okay if human excreta is the most important pollutant of our river systems. #cockroach

Today’s proceedings before Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma in the @ArvindKejriwal matter were among the most unusual courtroom proceedings I have witnessed. The transition from stating she wasn’t recusing from the main case to initiating criminal contempt proceedings, and finally also recusing herself, appeared procedurally difficult to reconcile, particularly alongside repeated assertions that the recusal “still remains.” What stood out even more was the distinctly personal and emotional tenor of the hearing. Pauses and deep breaths almost gave it away, seemed I was watching a theatre production script reading audition, by a rejected actor who couldn’t pass the screen test. Repeated references to concern for her children, coupled with oral remarks such as “he came here with one case and is now going with two,” created an impression that many observers may find unusually personal for a judicial proceeding of this nature. The informal exchange that followed in open court between the Solicitor General and the Court further added to the perception that the atmosphere had shifted from strictly judicial to conversational. At moments, the proceedings appeared less like a detached adjudicatory exercise and more like a courtroom shaped by personal hurt and institutional anger. Courts unquestionably have the authority to protect their dignity and independence. But in politically sensitive matters, judicial restraint, procedural clarity, and visible detachment become even more essential to sustaining public confidence in the institution.

It takes 10,000 liters of water to produce 1 liter of ethanol.
Ethanol Blends to Fly Planes! This fuel is safe, environmentally friendly, and already tested globally: @sjlazars speaks to @DEKAMEGHNA Not everything labeled as “biofuel” is necessarily green... In India, ethanol production largely depends on sugarcane, which is a highly water-intensive crop: @vimlendu adds.

If you protest against pollution - You are an antinational. If you protest against labour exploitation - you are an anti national. If you oppose destruction of Himalayas, you are an antinational. If you even file an RTI, you are an antinational. Hello, Bharat Mata!

Studio warriors (Anchors) should read this.
The #ceasefire (US-Iran) announcement marks a pause, but more importantly, it reveals where each actor now stands. The United States has stepped back from the brink it created. A deadline backed by threats of overwhelming force has given way to a conditional pause built around negotiations. That signals not strength alone, but recognition of limits: military objectives may have been met, but political end states remain elusive. Israel, for its part, finds itself in a more ambiguous position. Having driven escalation, it is now tethered to a process it does not fully control. Its objectives, particularly around regime change or long-term degradation of Iran, sit uneasily with a negotiation track shaped elsewhere. Iran emerges with a measure of strategic resilience. It has absorbed strikes, retaliated, and then shifted the frame from ceasefire to conditions for a broader settlement: sanctions relief, security guarantees, and regional de-escalation. In doing so, it has moved from target to negotiating actor without conceding core positions. Pakistan’s role has unfolded not as architect, but as conduit and catalyst. It has provided the channel through which messages travelled, deadlines were softened, and a narrow diplomatic opening created. That is not mediation in the classic sense, but it cannot be dismissed with stray witticisms either. What we are witnessing is not resolution of conflict , but repositioning. The war has not ended. It has entered a different phase, where coercion and negotiation now proceed together. For India, the implication is clear. Do not read this as de-escalation alone. Read it as a system under strain, where outcomes are still fluid. India should state its position with clarity: support de-escalation, safeguard maritime flows, and resist alignment with any one narrative of this conflict. This is not a moment for silence. It is a moment for calibrated voice. #WestAsia #IranUSConflict #MiddleEastCrisis #StrategicAutonomy #IndiaForeignPolicy #Hormuz #MaritimeSecurity

You can judge freedom of expression by one simple test: how a country treats criticism. In the US, people openly protest the Iran invasion - politicians, academics, citizens, and no one is arrested or called anti-national. Mass rallies are organised in dissent. Now imagine India. If someone criticised something like “Operation Sindoor”, you would have been punished, arrested or lynched, even the Supreme Court would have not granted you justice, in the name of “collective conscience” and national interest.

So as to make a landfill disappear, and pretend that it’s governance, legacy and non legacy waste is dumped in the ecologically sensitive zone of the Yamuna River bed. And then we complain that why is our water contaminated.

Excreta in drinking water in Delhi!
A week long exercise saw HT collect 18 water samples from across Delhi, finding 8 of these -- all tap water -- had total coliform or e-coli bacteria in it. This indicates sewage is mixing into the drinking water - a troubling scenario, not too long after the Indore tragedy!

Your ‘double’ inverted comma ‘green’, gave it away. Make sure sketches of trees are made in your bicycling path next time, so that you are not called out for your propaganda pushing. We had just a few handful so called educated ‘politicians’ in our country, and it’s pathetic to see them squander their own reputation for power. Dare call it service.
Lots of reactions to my last post on the #Mumbai Coastal Road bicycling track. Mostly positive, some concerned about green cover. Once the Coastal Road Garden Mahalaxmi Racecourse Central Park are completed, I’m confident even the critics will be pleasantly surprised & the conversation will turn very “green”! 🌳

Time for Mr & Mrs Ambani to tame their son, and not countless wild animals that’s been brought/bought to their circus. By calling a place ‘van’tara, it doesn’t become a forest. This is sheer arrogance of money and power, mixed with stupidity.
Wild animals are not political gifts or corporate assets to be transferred at will. Leopards belong to their forests, their territories, and the ecosystems that shaped them, not to private enclosures built for spectacle. This is not even funny anymore.

Judges are rich!
Here are some judges of the SC who travelled to Ahmedabad from Delhi on 27 Feb by a chartered flight! Who paid for it? Austerity?

It’s important that Central Government as well as respective state governments should make a Heat Action Plan immediately, and also have strict implementation strategy and system at place. Don’t wait for the heat to hit and caught staring at the ‘last’ govt.
