It costs money to run a church.
Whether you raise that money via a church tax, tithing, event fees, fundraising campaigns, estate donations, it costs money somewhere.
Let’s just all agree churches should be as transparent as possible on how/why monies are raised.

They used a medical tricorder to scan if the foreign object had punctured any vital organs or was near any major blood vessels before pulling it out.

So the closed up the the external wound. That doesn't even deal with the internal bleeding that may be caused by the metal getting ripped out or the infections.
